Er, Sun, your original post said "Keep it out of the Refridgerator!!!!"

That's somewhat more than an opinion. My reply, and experience, is different.

A frig at 40 degrees is closer to the ideal temp (53 degrees) than a room at 78 degrees, according to my calculations, and after many years of living in Florida, I'd say heat is a major problem when it comes to storage of any liquid or foodstuff. As far as "damp" goes, that can be eliminated by sealing the liquids in a vacuum bag before refrigerating.

Cedar chests were originally built as "hope chests" to store and preserve linens (not foodstuffs) -- so I'm not quite sure what that point is.

All I will say is 53 degrees is the lowest on the spread--the middle core recommended tempeture is 71 degrees--again keep the e-liquid where you like--I gave my experience which after having to throw out 140 dollars worth of e-liquid is more then an opinion--it happened. So I am sharing my expericance.

And I might add that I am not the only one this has happened to on this Forum or others---so take the advise for what it is worth and by all means keep it in the refigerator -----Sun

Out of curiosity, and I'm not agreeing with either side of "to fridge or not to fridge" but more simply trying to find the best solution to keep this stuff long term,,, why, directly on the labels of the majority of juices i'm buying, the labels say "Keep in a cool, dark place or in the refrigerator for extended life; expires 24 months from date of purchase."? furthermore, i have heard many suppliers store their liquids in a refrigerator as well,, i'm certainly not arguing to keep it in the fridge, I just want what's best for my juice!

I elect for out of the fridge 09. I'm Cherrypopwizkid, and I approve this message.

Soemone mentioned static electricity. My hypothesis would be static electricty of the kind likely to be encountered in a storage area is unlikely to have any effect of the nic-juice. If it did, I would think exposure to the atomizer would be the greatest risk to the juice.

Rexa--the main issues are Dark and Dry--but please get it out of the Refigerator--the old myth about if in doubt refigerate will kill your stockpile quick--I am down here in Florida and it can get hot as yeck here --yes I do have the a/c on a lot--but not all the time by any means--I have lost no e-liquid so long as it was stored out of the light and in a dry place--buying on Craigs List one of those old cedar chests that is dark and keeps moisture out is key--you can pick them up cheap as nobody really wants them anymore---sun

I don't understand the logic behind cedar keeping the moisture out.
Suppose the worst case of water getting into a sealed bottle; would that necessarily ruin the mix? I used to dilute my juice with water after it was banned on ebay. I have been keeping my juice in the ref and freezer for a few months now. My stock is still good. Perhaps your stock was over heated during shipment? Perhaps a strange contamination was able to enter your sealed bottles?

Emus--Kurt the Chemist on the Forum here answered this question and gave the reasons for keeping it out of the fridge. As for the cedar chest--that is what I use---people should do what they like!!!

Keep it out of the Refridgerator!!!! It is suppose to be stored above 53 dgrees according to the MSDS and in a cool, dark, and dry place---a refidgerator is to cold and not dry!!! I lost 7 30ml bottles of e-liquid in 3 months keeping it in the refriderator--all from different companies and all unopened in the refidgerator. All went rancid and tasted like a vial vinigar---other e -liquid I kept in my closet was still going great after 7 months---so take some good advise and get it out of the refigerator--this is a sure fire way to lose your e-liquid quick. I now employ and old cedar chest that keeps it cool, dry, and dark--------Sun

Damn,
I have 200ml in the freezer.
