Storing Juice

Hi,

I'm buying a lot of juice for my boyfriend for Christmas, and I'd like some advice on how to properly store it. Our apartment tends to get really hot, and I've read that heat isn't good for the juice. At the same time, it's going to be kind of hard to hide it in our fridge. Also, we live in Alaska, and it gets below freezing this time of year, so outside wouldn't work. I would love any advice on how and where I could store the juice. Thank you.

Anyway, try to find a cool, dark and dry place for normal storage--you don't have to refrigerate it. I live in California and my juices last for months in a closet at room temperature (usually around 70 degrees or so).

They'll be fine for at least a year--if not longer. And yes, buy small bottles. Even 5 or 3 ml if you can find them, for sampling. There's nothing more depressing than a 30 or 60 ml bottle of unvapeable ejuice.

Man, i wish my wife would order me tons of juice for Christmas. Your closet should be fine. I store a lot of mine in a cheapy Plano tackle box.....
something like this:

put'em in there, then in your closet or in your sock/underware drawer as long as ya'll don't share a drawer....lol

You can put them outside too if you want. They won't freeze. I keep my bulk PG / VG and nic in my freezer for long term storage.

Another vote for outside...pop em in a ziplock bag and stash them outside somewhere secure and you'll be fine! Many of us who make our own juices keep the Nic, PG and VG in the freezer or fridge anyway

For short term there is no need but a cool, dark place is recommended. Refridgerators are certainly both. Freezers are recommended for long term storage but you juice will not actually freeze. It will thicken substantially though until it warms back up.

I bet your kids don't look through the freezer, just put it in a bag and write on it a name of some kind of food they hate.

PG doesn't freeze at all, VG becomes gooey but doesn't either, mixed e-liquid shouldn't freeze unless seriously diluted by water or something else.

I store my liquid in prescription pill bottles with pieces of cut cardboard like from a cereal box cut to size to match the height of the bottle rolled in a circle to go all the way around. It keeps the light out and keeps dust off the bottles. Super simple.

Just remember to take the juices inside before you wrap or whatever lol and let them warm and shake the stuffing out of them before gifting them I live in a sweatbox - it gets sun all day long so I store everything in the fridge and or freezer, better to be cold than wayyyyyyyyy too hot lol I learned that lesson the hard way I have thrown out over 2 yrs worth of way too peppery tasting nic base and ready made juices. Great idea for a christmas present
