Storing VG and PG???

Noob question. I just received a gallon each of PG and VG. This will last me a long, long time. I've got my 100 mg nic in glass bottles safely stored in the freezer, now what should I do with my PG and VG? They are both in plastic jugs. Can I stick them in the freezer as well or just leave them as is and keep them in a cool, dark place? What would be their shelf life if I left them unfrozen? Also should i transfer them into glass containers as well? Help from the vets would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Glass is always better for long term storage. Some empty 1.5 L scotch bottles would work perfectly, kept cool and dry.

If you need help emptying the scotch bottles I can PM you my address to send what you empty out.....

I bought a gallon each of pg and vg over a year ago. I didn't do anything special to it and it is the same today as it was the day I got it. I left it in the plastic jugs it came in and just store them in my spare bedroom.

PS: I haven't grown any extra toes or fingers so I figure it is ok

Same here. I've rather cavalierly assumed that PG and VG are essentially safe, long-term shelf options, requiring no special care. Hope I'm not wrong.

As I remember, manufacturers give them 2 years shelf life in original packaging (not opened) with no freezing. I do think that they will survive even in opened bottles. It's good we do not need to stockpile PG and VG, they will not be banned.

Ok. So far so good. I've seen so many threads on how to properly store nic but I wasn't 100% on the pg/vg. I'll def get them out of the plastic and into glass as it just seems like a safer way to store them long-term. Thanks for the quick replies, appreciate it, we're all in this together...✔
