Stovetop coils

Hey guys, I have been vaping for a year now and have rebuilt all types and sorts of coils, but the one that I have yet to use is the stove top. I have watched vids and even has the twister pro coil jig that makes them but have not made one yet.
What is the reasoning behind this type of coil, Flavor, clouds, wicking? seems like a cumbersome coil without a lot of merits, is it worth it?

Moved from Simple Solutions out to New Members forum. Simple Solutions is for absolute beginner type stuff, coil building discussion really doesn't belong there

I haven't experimented much with that particular type of setup, myself, so can't really offer too much insight. Hopefully you'll get some answers here. If not, once you've gotten your post count up and can post elsewhere, there is a dedicated forum for coil building that would probably net you some better results. In the meantime, feel free to browse around in there and maybe you'll find a discussion already active on it: Coil Builds

Sadly the only experience I have with stovetop coils are with dry herbal atomizers, so I don't know how it would work out with liquids. Seems like it'd be impractical though for a few reasons. How be would the wicking work, where to put it so it wicks well and uses full surface area to vape the juice, etc.

Who knows, maybe you'll find it magical 0.o

Welcome to ECF, Jason.

Haven't tried that coil myself yet, but my impression is that it's for clouds. The Coil Building section should have some more information on it.

Good luck with it and happy vaping!
