Hi guys,

Fairly new to vaping, been going for a few weeks now. Been having this strange issue with a battery of mine, it caused me to move on and buy an EVOD but it would be good to see if there's anything I can do about it as it would make a good backup battery.

With this battery, it seems to work fine when a tank is not screwed in. The button presses down fully and lights up as per usual. But when I fully screw a tank in the light will light up and it'll begin working as if I have pressed the button down! Weirdly when it's screwed in I can no longer push the button down at all. I've been getting around this by having it partially screwed in which seems to do the trick, but I don't really like it loose and it has a habit of making a connection and turning on by itself when it does this.

Has anyone else ever had this issue and know how to fix it? Would be good to because aside from the fact it's pretty cheap, it has a great battery life. Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong area! Thanks. :)

First off, hello and Welcome to ECF :)

It sounds like you are just really wrenching the topper down - which is unnecessary and will ruin a battery. You should put your toppers on just *barely* finger tight. The little silver disc you will see if you remove a tank and look into your battery connection is a floating pin, you will compress it and cause wonky things to happen. It is shaped like a small nail or tack, so my guess would be the long part that goes down into the opening may be forced into contact with your button.

Pry the pin up *very gently* and only a teeny weeny bit, then try putting your tank on gently.
