Cisco certs are hard, you have to prove you know your stuff.
I have no respect for the MCSE or any other MS cert at all, anyone can cram enough to pass the test without knowing didley squat.
Since we're off in OT land. Correction: Cisco certs _were_ hard. These days everything can be passed with a week long bootcamp except the CCIE. Not Cisco, but the CISSP has also fallen in disrepair since it hasn't been updated continuously as it should (and must) be.
You're more likely to get a entry level LAN engineering job if you've worked at a computer help desk than you are with a CCNA because at least the help desk experience shows you know how to translate user issues into real problems.
