So, this is weird.
I got a few of the 901 atty's from Empire mods, along with a couple of 510-901 adapters. I pushed the pin on the adapter down a bit so it sticks out below the threading on the 510 end, and screwed everything together on my VV Grand. No dice. Would not fire. Tried all combos of the various adapters and atty's I had purchased; nothing worked.
Took the thing off the VV Grand and screwed it into my VV Woodvil. Fired up like a champ.
I tried cleaning out the 510 end of the VV Grand, but it wasn't really very gunky anyway. Still nothing. VV Grand otherwise performs just fine.
Why in the world would the adapter/901 setup work perfectly on a VV Woodvil but be inoperable on a VV Grand??

Edit: Yes, I tried different voltage settings.
