Strange taste with new ego vision

I've got a strange taste surfacing in all my liquids with the new batch of Visions. I've only opened 1 of 4 so I contacted the vendor for feedback and they said to wash it out good. I did so we'll see how it goes when it dries out. I've still got 1 of 3 from a previous order. One I sat on and damaged (leaking around the threads), one my friend took possession of and 1 still making vapor. They're all lower olms (2.2 I think). They don't have the heaviest output but they're nice to have around. There is a design change (or just different from what I had before), it now has a metal pip sticking out of the top of the gasket cover the mouth piece seals against.

Anyone else getting a funky taste?

No luck getting rid of the funky taste in the eGo vision. I'll open 2 of 4 and see if it is any better. Still enjoying my last one from a previous batch...about 2 weeks.

You could try lemon juice and/or vinegar to try to get the taste out. Just rinse really well with water afterwards.

I just got some of these last week. Bought a couple from GotVapes and a couple from eSmoker. So far I've only tried the ones from eSmoker and they were fine. Learned from RockinRobbie (estarra on youtube) and others that I should expect to have to go through a tank or two of e-liquid before they "break in" and taste really good, and that was exactly my experience.

I took one apart to see how it is made, I'd heard the tank was really hard to get off now, and yes, that's what I found.

But the odd thing is, I've seen some new youtube reviews where people are having horrible experiences with these. One guy, I think it was vaporJoe74 said it gave him a horrible sore throat and could hardly talk. I'd sure like to know what's going on and if I get one that does that, I'll for sure take it apart to see if I can figure it out.

I know one batch that GotVapes got had a lot of issues with the tanks cracking, but that should be fixed now. I believe that was the batch before they added the metal cone thing. I have heard some complaints about odd tastes, but I'm not sure what batch those are coming from. Most of what I've heard has been really good on these, but I don't have an ego battery so I haven't tested them myself. I'm a big fan of the rest of the Visions line though, so if they can get the kinks worked out on these I may just have to pick up an ego battery so I can give them a try.

Well I finally gave up and trashed the 1st of four with the new batch of Visions. My last one from the old batch is still kicking although much weaker and the wispy vapor it produces seems to make me cough (future re-wicking project). I got tired of dumping liquid out the foul Vision (I had assumed the liquid ruined) and drew some some out, put it into a clearomizer and it tasted fine. I don't think the taste was from the inside of the tank but the wicking, coils or inside the steel tube. It never was a fresh atty taste. I'll open 2 of four tonight. I've been digging the relatively trouble free Boge 2.0 cartos.

I got 2 from the first batch and they had a terrible chemical taste that I couldn't get rid of. Bought 2 more on the second batch same taste. All 4 also dry hit unless I tilted them up above eye level and this was with several 70pg 30vg juices I tried. IMO these things fail

2 of 4 Visions (new batch). All the rinsing and drying amounted to nothing last time so I tried to shorten the process. I swished a few drops of vodka around the tank, dumped it and fired it on/off till I could peep in and see the coils glow a bit. Then I added 2 drops of Vermillion River KPB to the wick to re-wet it and fired it on/off till the coil glowed. I filled with half a ml. of VR KPB. I'm wishing I had not tossed the 1st one so I had a baseline to compare it to but it is a cleaner taste so far. The strange taste is there but very faint. For what it's worth, side by side with the Boge 2.0 with VR KPB the vape is close, just not as hot. Now I've made myself nic sick but I think this one will be okay after the break in. There is a big difference in vapor between the new one and the one that I've been using for a few weeks.

The 2nd Vision in the new batch is working nice. Maybe I'll get a couple weeks out of it.

Been using my first vision this week. have you tried lifting the cup cover a bit off the wicks with a bent paper clip really seems to help the wicking alot

Are you talking about the led 3.5ml clearomizers, the 4.5ml. Tank clearos, or the ego vision clearos? I just ordered some of each and would like to know all the different methods to clean the coils from this nasty taste before I waste more juice. I finally filled my DC tank with a 2.5ohm punctured flanged carto...I tried making the hole a bit bigger with a tac but all I'm getting is dry hits...using pg/Vb 75/25 and its obviously not getting through the hole...any suggestions?. Back to dripping, as usual.

I'm getting the same problem with the Vision (3.5ml). The burning taste was terrible. The wick is well saturated. Rinsed the carto and removed the plasic cap.Worked fine for a wile but gets flooded occasionally. Left the carto laying down on the table and the juice leaked from the connector.Putting the cap back brings the burning taste again.
