So im not sure if im using my ecig right or not.

How do I know if im "sucking" right? I know if I suck too hard, I hear the whistling coming from the holes in the atomizer. Too soft, I get nothing.

New or used?

When I got mine, all new, I found that they all didn't draw the same. After a break-in period (depending on how much you vape--1, 2, 3 days, etc.), then they started to draw the same. 2 1/2 months later, two of mine original e-cigs are starting to get weak, even with a freshly charged battery and cleaned atomizer. There's a bit of a learning curve.

the advice i give is, draw like you would if drinking a thick malt or milkshake. slow, but firm and steady.

juice in the mouth= too much

draw just enough to make it work or even a pulsating draw on auto batts. I like to puff to kickstart it.

It depends on... which model e-cig and my intensity of draw.

What kind of PV do you have? I have never experienced any of those things with my PV. Just vape on it constantly day and night and works like a charm. Never any noise, just great vapor. Is this a new model?

I think that is when atty coil is not meshed enuff with the filler..

You'll almost always get some kind of whistle. Big air, little holes. The ones that look like a cigarette (M401, DSE103, Joye306) seem to whistle more. It's that tube aspect. 901's kind of depend on the type of carts. When my 510 whistles it usually means I don't have the battery on tight or I give the cart a little twist to make sure it's sealing right.

It's not the whistle it's the self-consciousness of the thing.

Worse comes to worse, you can always puncture a few extra holes and learn to play Dixie.

I find that the "drinking a thick malt/shake" method works great with my m401. I don't really get the whistling and I try to draw it straight into my lungs (not like drawing it into your mouth first and then inhaling it into the lungs like with analogs). I get a great hit and plenty of vapor. I've been vaping on the 401 all day today after its initial 8 hour charge; and it's been working great. I'd say give that method a try and see how it does for you.

Thanks for the responses everyone.

Its a 510 I have, wife has the 401. I found that it really doesn't make a difference with my 510 how hard I draw. Even a slight draw, produces good vapor so havn't really had issues since getting used to it.

The learning curve with the titan can be tough. Took me about a week to get used to it, now I can't live with out it. (been 2 months). still occasionally run into little hiccoughs--little TLC and so far so good.

Of the 3 attys that I am using, I have one 510 atty that whistles. I just put my finger over one of the air holes and it goes away. It's my least favorite atty because of the whistle, but I am grateful that it works! (I used to have a high failure rate.)

I am a new member to the forum, although been researching here for a couple months and Im still learning and working thru things. I have the titan also and it makes a 'sucking air' noise with any of my batteries, attys, etc. regardless of what I do. I get lots of vapor and hard throat hit( too much for me sometimes- thats what Im trying to work on now). I kinda figured it was just the way the 510 worked.

Currently vaping on the Dura-c. Could be just me, but when i top off insert & twist i get bigger puffs. Twisting the cart just alittle bit makes the poly fit firmly against the metal foam. When i draw it closes the air gaps which in turn eliminates that hissing sound of you inhaling. Makes it feel more like a analogue. In other words, it's a tighter fit. I could be wrong. I'm a newb.
