I'm having a slight dilemma with a few clone rdas and was hoping for some assistance with a solution. The negative post holes on my Tobh Atty V2 clone are stripped, the Stillare clone has three spinning posts and a stripped positive post, and finally my Patriot clone screws will thread but don't trap the leads tightly, even though the screws tighten down completely. This leaves me with shorts, jumping resistance, just an unsafe situation all together. I'm kicking around a few solutions.

1) Screws of destiny from Stealthvape would be nice, but what size for each rda?

2) Just trash them, they were cheap and buy better RDAs, or authentics? The only one I know I couldn't do without is the Tobh, I love the vape I get on every build, it's easy to build on, and it looks "the ...." on my King V2 clone since it's about the same color of blue. I've been contemplating picking up a Magma, Little Boy, or Veritas. If you all have other suggestions on an rda for flavor chasing, with a nice HOT vape without having to build under .2, that'd be amazing.

3) Any other suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Just trashing them is exactly what you should not do.
If you can't find replacement x for them, they themselves might contain replacement y parts for other things.

Invest in a torque screwdriver that reads in inch-pounds?

It wasn't me over torquing them, they were all used, heavily.I rebuilt the Tobh every day for a week, practicing different builds. I was pretty gentle on all of them, tightening the screws little by little until the wire stopped wiggling, then gave each one a little "unh" to make sure.

Usually it's that little "unh" that leads to the "aww crap" the damn thing is stripped and people saying "what a piece of junk".
That many different RDA's with stripped posts or screws speaks volumes and it's saying dayum dude stop cranking down the screws so hard and also wrap the wire clockwise which helps keep the wire trapped instead of pushing it out.

Tiny screws can only take just so much torque. Even if you're staying well within the gfiven torque values, it's always a good idea to get a supply of replacement screws and replace them when they start showing any signs of wear. Tiny screws arent really designed for being loosened and tightened repeatedly. Replacing screws is a must after they've been tightened to critical torque values. Even big bolts such as cylinder head studs and connecting rod bolts need to be replaced after they've been torqued and retorqued...because they stretch a little bit and the torque value & thread strength go out the window after having been stretched.

Reusing screws that have been stretched slightly is what causes the threaded hole to become damaged and fail

My tobh clone did the same thing. I use torque wrenches all day at work on multimillion dollar semiconductor R&D machines, ranging from 2 to 80 in-lbs. My wrist is basically a calibrated torque wrench. And that piece of crap Tobh clone stripped the post with no effort. Maybe there is a pattern here that can't be blamed on the user. Not me anyway. My Plume Veil hasn't failed me yet.

I own all the rda's you listed and mine are good. Well minus the plumeveil i did strip her out but that base/ neg posts are so soft. And actually all the ones you want to buy i have too (most clones) i am by no means "rich" but you should take the little boy off your list. Although the big drip tip looks cool the thing leaks all over the place. Every build, every wick.. if you like .2 builds try the mutation x v2. I have the original mutation and its a monster. Although it tends to leak to due to those 16 airholes or w/e. Just try to take it more easy on your screws! As soon as the wire starts to knurl upward on the other side of the post, they are good enough.

My love- Kawa Reo LP w/ TRA SL door & LokiLab Odin.. Mmm Mmm

I've read that M2X4 mm screws will fit most attys, and I'm pretty sure your tobh was in the list. Are all the ones you need the same size? Perhaps you can use the tobh as a guideline to figure out the size. Searching fleabay should give you some hits and you might find some hex as well if you prefer those. You might get lucky at Ace hardware as well.

As for the stripped holes, if you can find some fine wire or even a little bit of your kanthal, put a couple pieces in the hole and see if you can get the screw to hold. It's a pain, but once you have some new stainless screws it should be doable. Good luck.

As far as a new dripper, I'm now a hugh Veritas fan since getting the 1:1 clone from FT. I think I read where the Magma gets hotter than it does though so that might be a better choice for you.

I'd say stick with the Clones - Replacements - while you learn and start trying to Not over torque things.

Old Saying > Tight is Tight - To Tight is Broken

All my RDA's are clones and None are damaged. I understand you will get an occasional bad one, but any more and it may be your usage.

Good luck!:)
