Stripped spring screw

Bone head moment, popped a spring...my screw at the bottom seems to be stripped. I *think* I have a replacement, but whats the best way to get this one out? If I don't...what size is it and can I get it at lowes/home depot?

I've expanded my collapsed spring and moved back to a delrin drip tip, so no more shorting, but I still need to fix this.

Well yeah, I know about the fuse mod and I could probably do that, but I need to get the screw out first.

I just had to throw that out there...

I tried a new stainless drip tip a couple months ago. Ended up dropping a spring as well. That was my quick fix until I could get more springs...

Can you take a screwdriver and push on your spring plate CCW? It might break the screw loose???

Suppose I could....perhaps more aggressive measures are needed. >: )

But, that's how it got stripped in the first place :/

Take a flat head screw driver get behind the spring plate enough so you can lift up on one side of the spring plate .Know you can rotate the spring plate counter clockwise it will loosen the screw . If that fails grab the spring plate with pliers and twist brute force it always a last resort

Yeah, I didn't mean break anything. Just to turn the plate until the screw loosened enough to get it started moving. If all else fails, there's these...

...I've expanded my collapsed spring....

Just so you know, that spring is a once-only safety, pulling it back out will get it working, but it no longer provides short protection (which it apparently just gave it's life for).

Yeah, I just ordered some replacement springs and spring screws this morning for the same reason. My spring collapsed on mine like a month ago, had the coil touching the post and shorted it out. Didn't have any replacement parts and pulled my spring up to use the mod again. I'm hoping my screw isn't gonna strip when I try to remove it, but if so I have a screw extractor bit ill more than likely use.

move the spring counter clockwise first to loosen the screw slightly
