Strong smelling juice=carto ruined?

All right, I tried some coffee and cream flavored juice yesterday, used a fresh Boge 1.8 ohm XL carto, I have quickly discovered that I can't vape anything with a creamy or vanilla taste. I blew out the remaining juice, in the correct direction, then I soaked it over night in PGA. well after a final rinse in PGA I can still smell the juice. Is this the norm? Is the carto done? I tried vaping it a few minutes ago with some rely light apple flavor juice and I can still taste the coffee flavor. I know cartos aren’t that expensive, but replacing them every time I use a strong juice that I don’t like could be.

yes get yourself a few cheap or expensive attys..im a true dripping fiend. i love the true flavors they provide.
i do have 2 locking tanks and have some flavors that work well but i have never tried to clean a carto..i just toss em when they start to perform odd. but i get em in 3 packs on sale for 20 bucks i think.

the Boges were 5 for 8 bucks, not much, but it will add up, I'd rather spend the money on a new mod instead of one time use cartos

Yes, atties are your friends when it comes to testing juices. If you let that carto sit out in the open for another day or two, the flavor might dissipate some, but my experience with strong coffee flavors is that the coffee will remain in there until next Christmas.

Before I trash it.....I would try soaking in Everclear or Vodka and rinse with warm water. I've had some good luck doing this. Happy Memorial Day.

Hi Leithan. You don't need to throw this carto away if you ever plan on trying a coffee-without-cream flavour in the future. For the future, the $5 dripping atomizer advice is good.

Whats the differance between an atomizer and a carto besides the holes in the side? Im guessing cartos have wicking material in them and atomizers dont? And its the wicking material thats holding in the flavor?

Cartos have the polyfill material to hold the e-liquid. Dripping atomizers are essentially similar but there is no filler to hold the liquid so you can drip it directly onto the atomizer coil. In fact both types contain wicks but you got the main idea.
