Not being real fund of change - once I found the Itaste MVP and learned to twist my own coils on the Protank I had little desire to change systems. Over time this combo has served my needs very well. After years of use I have yet to have issues with leaking, gurgling or any other other problems - it just plain worked. Today my MVP20W shorted out (may have been user error) so I need a back up battery. The rechargeable format, for easy of use, with similar battery capacity is my preference. I may still use the Protank but with the MVP only excepting 18.5mm tanks it did limit ones tank options. With so many choices in the market place today I am lost. Any suggestions for a relatively inexpensive battery unit ? I think I may be a Tootle Puffer - don't need anything above 20w but it must fit it my front jeans pocket comfortably.

Best regards
Snafu

Yes from a reliability stand point nothing beats it, if you need higher watts and sub ohm capabilities then it won't work. At this price is bought one for a travel setup

sent from my Galaxy Note 4 using MOAR 2.1b ROM running tapatalk

OP was thinking they might be a Tootle Puffer ... with no mention of sub ohm.

ProVape perfected Tootle Puffing.

I prefer my LiPo batteries myself, like the MVPs, Coolfires and hands down favorite has been the Evic VT and Evic VTwo. 4400 mAh that last days on end, durable but pocket friendly and more power than I dare to use.

The first mod I ever owned was a MVP and that version 1.5 still holds a charge to this day. I do like the Eleaf iSticks and own 3 20W versions. Battery lasts with a full day of usage, but I prefer the slightly larger Evic VT which is shorter than the MVP 3 but has a larger battery. I'm not certain is the US will see the MVP 4 which won't come out until 2017, so that puts the Evic VT as having the largest built-in battery on the market.

All four of my Evic Vt's have been working great (I rotate them weekly), and the only issue was one had a shoddy 510.

My brother has been using an istick 20w I gave him for Christmas in 2014 continuously for 2 years with an N mini at 10 watts. He doesn't charge during the day. They are $20 on Fasttech. Buy two. If something with a replacable battery is being considered i favor the pico for $26 or the VTwo mini for 30 something dollars.

Heres a tip:

Keep the mods out of your front pocket.

The only people that think this is a good idea, are people that have never witnessed a battery go thermal.

Its not a pack of smokes, its a high discharge cell with enough stored power to weld two quarters together.
Not crotch friendly.

Thanks very much for all the suggestions- I now have a little research to do. As far as the front pocket goes- It's only in pocket for a couple minutes each day. From the car to the office and from the car to the house. Very little risk, but I hear what you are saying. I'd have no problems grabbing another MVP as my first one is still going strong but it does limit the tanks that can be used. I also need to find another tank to try. I like the replaceable coils as I can keep one in my golf bag, one in the office and one in the car just in case they are needed. The Protank heads are pretty small and hard on my aging eyes. I'll come back with questions- again- thx for your time.

Thx guys but the internal rechargeable battery is really what I am looking for. Plug it in each morning during coffee hour and it's set for the day.
I know that's what you said, but, have you looked at the Istick Pico?

Granted, you would have to buy and install a battery. From that point on, it's just like the built in ones in that you simply plug in the mini usb to charge. I own several and haven't needed to remove a battery yet.
Plus, when the battery does die, simply drop in a new one.

It's also very pocket friendly and the battery life is excellent. Actually much better than either of my Provari's (V2.5 and Radius).

Topper size is limited to 22 or 23mm (I think). However, adding a heatsink (fasttech) raises it above the battery cap so you *could* put any size you want on it.
