Im just curious about this cause I cant seem to find it as a topic on modding, but do people realize that an atomizer is nothing more than a gutted and reshelled R/C glow plug? U can take a glow plug and whats called a glow plug igniter and make 1 bad ... mod! has any besides me done this yet? BTW r/c is remote controlled and im referring to nitro operated vehicles

In addition to being the same as a gutted/reshelled glow plug, it is also a very small light bulb.

All three work on the same principle, current passes through a thin wire (coil), heats it up, end result is heat and light.

I'm not sure why you would want to use a glow plug, they are (relatively) expensive and require modification to work.

Why not build your own atty?

Heres what ur standard igniter looks like, theres a ring around the outer edge that u press down on to put current to the glow plug, igniters are used to jumpstart ur nitro vehicle cause nitro fuel doesnt ignite easily so this is almost like prewarming an old deisel
Notice the battery life indicator at the bottom of the handle, man wouldnt that be nice huh

nitro fuel is INCREDIBLY flammable. The reason glow plugs are used is simplicity. nothing else. no spark plug or timing to worry about.

Not sure of the temp of a glow plug, but I dropped some juice on a (clean) soldering iron tip once, tried to inhale it, was disgusting. but the room smelled like snickerdoodles for hours

yeah well ive owned and ran a hobby shop that specailized in Rc and for 1 thing I never said it wasnt very flammable I said it doesnt ignite easily and I said that cause it doesnt ignite easily, you can light and stick a match in it and it wont explode, same as with deisel the fuel must be warmed above a certain point b4 being igniteable, and ur also incorrect as to why glow plugs are used, theyre used cause nitrol fuel cant be ignited with a spark, it would clog any spark plug in the first attempt to fire on it, thats why gas powered rc vehicles dont and cant use a glow plug, 2 totally different fuels so 2 totally different ignition systems thats why theyre used, also the reason the igniters are needed is cause if the rc vehicles not been run yet the glow plugs alone arent usually strong enough to ignite the fuel so u use the igniter to prewarm the plug and fuel
