Saw a guy I know over the weekend. I was hitting my Reo and he looks at me and asks if it's a ecig. I say yeah it is. He then says "you know that will cause cancer the same as a cigarette". I was caught so off guard I just blurted out "that's Bullsh**". Then he says "Yeah. Thats why they're going to put the warnings on them same as cigarettes". I don't know this guy well enough to debate him so I let it go. Now I know we don't yet know all the side effects of vaping, but I don't think this guy is all the way correct! What do you guys think about this?

No need to debate with him yes duh of course e-cig cause cancer as well. You inhale nicotine which causes cancer, however, the risk you take while vaping is far far less then if you smoke a regular cigarette. No one knows what the long term effects are yet but I am pretty sure they are still looking better then If I would still be smoking regular cigarettes.

He's just repeating the garbage that is being circulating by those that have a closed mind to the facts of vaping vs the dangers from smoking cigarettes. Honestly those that are against e-cigs are doing a whole lot better job speading their misinformation to the public then we are in getting the facts of vaping and PVs out to the public. We need to be doing a whole lot better job.

Nicotine is not a carcinogen. It doesn't cause cancer.

Ejuice can contain trace amounts of nitrosamines, but the amount of them is comparable to a nicotine patch or gum.

Where did you get that? I don't think I have read anything about the nicotine causing cancer. All the rest of the stuff from cigarettes, yes, but the nicotine?

It's not the nicotine that causes cancer wtq. At worst, it might accelerate pre-existent tumor growth, BUT dozens of years and thousands of Swedish swedish (lol) snus users say differently. It's the myriad of other chemicals plus the act of burning that causes cancer.
