Stupid Mistake

Okay, In my defense, I am having a rough day. However, it probably doesn't explain my stupidity. I was unscrewing my ce5 carto from the battery and not paying attention. I ended up screwing the top of the carto off the bottom and spilling juice all over myself, my bed and the battery. I cleaned out the battery as well as I could using a q-tip and baby wipe. Anyway I put some more juice in the carto, screwed it into my spare battery and somehow managed to make the same mistake (again). Now I have two batteries that have been covered in juice. I have a bit of a concern about whether they are safe to use/charge. Has anybody ever made this mistake (I'm pretty sure I'm the only one to do it twice in an hour) and is it okay to charge/use the batteries.

Thanks.

I once filled an EVOD and forgot to put the base back on - I just "screwed" the tank (without base) back on to the VV V3 I was using (or rather, the VV into the tank, upside down).

Sadly, it fit and held, and I put it into my shirt pocket. I pulled it out to take a toot in the car on the way to work.

Yep - the tank came off as I was pulling it out - juice aaaaall over my shirt, my pants, the car seat. Now I'm in the middle of a 45 min commute, sitting in a puddle of juice and looking like an idiot with a full day at the office ahead of me.

Not my most shining moment and I offer this to you so that you know: you are most definitely not alone.

Enjoy the rest of your evening, vaping in peace.

I've also done this too many times to count! When I first started with an eGO, I ordered a few different clearomizers to figure out which I liked best because I didn't really like the ones that came in my starter kit (CE4 I think). Some filled from the top and others from the bottom and I CONSTANTLY forgot which was which! The worst was whenever it happened at work. Thankfully I never hit my keyboard with e-juice!

If it makes you feel any better, I did this in a local B&M while sampling juices. To make matters worse, the guy working there had cautioned me to unscrew from the base. Of course I nodded like I was way smart enough not to make such a noobie mistake, but I still managed to dump juice all over the battery, myself, and the juice display counter.

After cleaning up the store, the device, and me, he still agreed to sell me some stuff, and I was most grateful.

If these are eGo type batteries your point of concern is the button. The top connector is pretty well sealed but liquid can get into the battery around the button area. If it's acting wonky - button LED is dim or stays on and won't turn off - chances are you got liquids in there through the button. Don't try to use a battery if that is happening.
