Ohh yea its great fun! I downloaded a harrier yesterday, it can hover just like the real thing!! The autopilot doesn't work tho and its a bit hard trying to land it in the right place hehe!
I spent ages using the original microsoft flight sim for windows 95 trying to hover a helicopter...I could never get the hang of it.....I have managed to land a jumbo o/k though!
I like the ILS feature, press the button and apart from doing the flare and adjusting the throttles it pretty much lands itself 
You can even get an addon called PMDG that gives you a fully featured 747 complete with autoland!!! I want it but I don't think my PC is powerful enough to run it hehe!

Maybe you should try the real thing and do a discovery flight. Usually your local flight school will give you a half hour of instruction and flight time for around $49.00 USD. Its fun in the Sim, but I would rather be flying the real thing. The scenery is beautiful out in my neck of the woods and I love to fly when ever I get a chance. The added benefit is that I get paid by my clients to fly to their locations. I have a business that caters to the air show industry and I get to fly in some cool airplanes such as the T-6, P51, T-2 Buckeye, F16 trainer, T-38, Pitts and some other cool birds. I own a Diamond which is comon on a lot of sim programs as well.
Heck if you are out in my part of the country I will take you up to see some of the sights.
Here are some shots not far from my airport...AZ and Cali are beautiful from the air in real life.
Edit:... I just realized that you are not in the US. Flying in Europe is very expensive but some countries it is cheaper then others (fuel, landing fees, rentals, etc). Since you know about the ILS you are already versed in some of the aviation jargon.

Wow wish I was a real pilot!! My eyesight is too bad tho and they probably wouldn't let me fly but I can still pretend in flight sim to be one I guess and play with the technology
Ohh and Igetcha my bro used to have a 360, I didn't like all the shooters but Grand theft auto ROCKS!! I did play a bit of call of duty and medal of honor tho! I also have medal of honor of my Wii but am no good at it hehe!!
