So I upgraded and got the new Cool Fire IV TC 100w sub-ohm 3300mah. I'm currently using the BVC Clapton coil for the isub v tank I've been exsperimenting with it, and one coil only lasted me three days, when I've heard people say their coil lasts them two weeks. Is it the coil, is it junk, should I go with a nickel 200, or titanium, or the Stainless steel coil. What is the best coil that lasts the longest, For the isub v apex tank?
Welcome and glad you joined. Good advice so far. Might work on what's been said. There are so many variables in vaping that it's hard to pinpoint problem areas (vaping can be a two edge sword).

Right on! Is there a sub-ohm tank that would be an upgrade that would be better, that you could suggest? The thing about the isub v is It's top fill, no mess, and coil slips right in. But hey I'm open to suggestions. A 3.5ml or 5ml tank would be nice. I'm trying to stay away from building coils. I'm cool with the amount of vape I get, if I could even get a coil that would handle 50-70 watts. I thought there were good sub-ohm tanks out there, I never heard of so many problems with these tanks. Granted the isub v or APEX tank might be a cheapy. But It's the tank that came with this MOD - TC100 I'll figure something out.

Bottom line,,,coils are a consumable. You will buy/build them the rest of your vaping life.

Factory= convenience at a price.
Handbuilt= hi- performance @ a cut rate price.

Trust 2bears, tinman, & dysvpr,,good guys..
I do my best Davie.

Maybe the TFV4 tank. Priced from $24 to $29. Top fill. It comes in at 24.5mm and your mod, which is a nice box by the way, is 24mm wide. I don't think there will be any noticble over hang.

With 100 watts you probably won't get the full potential form the triple coil that comes with the tank but the quad coil will work nicely.

The tank offers a lot of factory coil options. But like stated above you will have some coils that will last a few weeks and some that will last less than a week.

I totally understand that you don't want to build your own coils. The cool part about the TFV4 comes with an RBA that will allow you to change your mind at a later time.

Another option would be the Uwell Crown 1. It comes in at 22mm. Priced about $22-26. Top fill or bottom. It will come with 3 coils all that will do temp control. With the .5 ohm coils I found my sweet spot to be around 58-62 watts.

It's crazy easy to wet the wick, fill your tank and be vaping at 50 watts in 15 minutes.

It does not come with an RBA head but you can get one for it for around 6 bucks. It's tiny but effective. I can wick it in about two minutes. Never put a made coil in it because the few originals that come with it have lasted for months.

I've had coils go 2 weeks with heavy use but there are a few tricks to make them last longer. I have also had coils blow in 4 days. The thing about the Crown, it pops a coil without warning. Keep a spare or an RBA on you.

I only use Kanthal, NiChrome and stainless steel. I'm not a total animal, but I'm hardly an e-juice connoisseur either.. although... i do smell the cap.. LOL.
stainless steel and Ni are close for flavor, Ti is better but more costly. However since you are using factory coils, don't worry to much about getting "awesome" flavor. That only comes from custom builds. Just pick one you like. Personally, I have only used an RDA for months. To be honest.. i find it easier to build a new coil than to take one out of the bubble wrapper they come in. lol. Coil building isn't hard, I can do about 2 in a minute or less. But if you don't want to build, Probably stainless steel will be better. They are fairly cheap and easy to get.

If I were to buy a different sub-ohm tank can I still find NI TI SS coils to go in a different sub-ohm tank? Is there a tank you would recommend?

what's the lowest wattage they say on them? is it really 25w? start there, take 3 to 5 puffs, go up 3-5 watts and repeat... you are priming the coils with dripping a bit of juice in/outside them ahead of time as well, making sure the cotton is wet through them before you fire the first time? they really shouldn't burn out when breaking in, hence me asking about their lowest wattage.

I'm really disappointed in the isub v or the coils. I'm using the Kanthal BVC Clapton coil. Is it the coil? Are they just bogus coils? I've gone through 3 coils in 3 days. And I'm slowly braking them in just as was recommended.

I always reload. G'luck. :)

I start off at 24 and move up in incriments about every 10 minutes 24 - 26-28-30-32-34- and so on. I would be happy at 40-50 watts I'm not getting satisfactory cloud or flavor. I put one or two drops on the cottone hole on the side of the coil then two to three drops at the top around where the cotton is. Is it suppose to crackle and pop does that mean It's breaking in or does it mean It's frying the coil? It goes down to 6 watts. Can the tank get too hot and fry the coils It's on wattage mode the Kanthal coils only have wattage mode. the NI and TI are temp control the SS is temp or watts
