I am new to the sub-ohm arena but have been vaping a little over two years. Sunday was two years since my last cigarette! I have been mixing my own juice for well over a year and have found that a 70 PG/ 30 VG mix works best for me. The higher VG juice gets me coughing up phlegm in less than a tank. I have been researching the Temperature Control threads and sub-ohm building threads. Most people are talking about high VG juices. I do hope that those folks are just cloud chasers and it's not a requirement for sub-ohm/TC vaping. I have a Sigelei 150 TC and a Lemo 2 on the way as we speak (watching for vape mail). If you are into the sub-ohm thing and particularly TC, what are your thoughts on the PG/VG %? I'm going to do what tastes best for me anyway, but just curious. Thanks.

Higher vg not a requirement for sub ohm. There are 3 reasons one would go lower with pg, sensitivity/allergy, bigger clouds and less of a throat hit/ harshness. The pros of pg is more harsh throat hit (if that's what you like), more flavor (pg is a better flavor carrier then vg) and it's more fluid so less dry hits in a tank. Its basically your preference.

I think as you build lower ohm coils it's going to provide a much warmer / dense vape but as you upgrade your device which provides better wicking ability as well as better chimney design / airflow control make all the difference, I would be surprised if you still stay with 70 PG after a good build but let us know ........

I got my Sigelei 150W TC in the mail on Wednesday and have had a few days to try it out. It came with a free Sigelei Elite Tank II. Don't have much love for that tank...yet. I like to build my own coils and don't like the idea of having to buy atomizers for a tank. I have two Russian 91% that I had been using with my Provari 2.5 and so when my 28 Ga. Ni200 came in, I began my trek on sub-ohm coil building with those two tanks. Call it luck but my first builds in both tanks vape out of this world. I still have another 50 ml of 70/30 juice to go through before I mix any more. I'll try to mix up some higher VG juice and let you guys know how it goes.
