Sub ohm kit installation troubles

Greetings ReoNauts

So after a week of excitment waiting for a reo I bought off a fellow member, having troubles installing my sub ohm kit.

I took it all apart and try to put the atty post and the gasket in the connection but the pin wont go down far enough so the copper firing pin wont fit on far enough to put the other screw on. My atty post just goes through the gasket most times. The other little gasket was a bit ripped and wasnt sitting on right and got more torn. Is there a simple fix to make shift something for the smaller gasket? I watched robs viseo and seems like im doing it right but not gettingnresults. Any tips would be appreciated so I can start this reo on up. Thanks guys

I had the same problem and ended up killing my gaskets. My solution was to box up Blue and the remains of the kit and send it to Camp Porcupine for a weekend. The round trip priority postage was more than the cost of the repair.

Ya if I cant get it up and running tonight ill do It. Just sucks lol. Not giving up yet

If i understood correctly the lil white one is to protect the bigger one from getting cut. The trick is getting the pin far enough down to start the connector from the bottom without tearing the top lip of the gasket. More than a few of us had problems so don't feel bad if you can't get it.

If you've torn your gasket I'd just ship it off to Maine and save some frustration.

If I'm understanding correctly (prob not) you can use an atty to push and hold the whole assembly down while working on the undercarriage

The clear gasket is pushed down with the head of the pin, it can certainly be a pain but you have to get it all the way in there and in place before pushing the pin down in place or it will just pull through the gasket.

Salty I dont understand what you are asking lol. And I think im goig to send it off before I break something else. Rob does make it look so easy lol.

When I rebuilt mine, I used the delrin button to push the pin into the 510. The button fits perfectly and pushes it in evenly.

Check to make sure the old clear gasket is gone from the device. I had a dickens of a time - just like you are describing - until I realized the old gasket was still in place. It was hard to see in low-ish light with these old eyes.

Also, +1 for using the button to seat the pin per above.
