We were kicking this around in the MVP forum so I thought I would bring it to the whole board to try to get some more oppinions:

I just installed my first home made coil in to my I-go L (have been using premade). When I slapped it on my MVP it read 0.8. I didn't think that the MVP could go bellow 1ohm? Well, let's see what happens. I turned the the voltage all the way down and soaked the 3mm wick with some french vanilla and fired it up. Boooooom ! I was hit with the biggest cloud of my vaping career! I cant believe the hit I am getting from this thing! I felt like I was still getting a hint of burnt taste so I switched to VW turned all the way down to six and that seems, at least to my taste bud, a little better. But man, what a cloud! After I broke the wick in a little I turned it up to 3.5 V and it was a great hit but I turned it back down quickly in case I was drawing to much current.

My question is, does any one think I could be hurting the fixed battery going sub ohm with it? I would "think" the internal safety cut off would shut it down if I was drawing to much. But, I really don't know.

I'm surprised the protective circuitry didn't kick in on the MVP, too.

I'm not sure what the amp limit on the battery is in the MVP. It's not the typical round cylinder battery that we normally use in our other mods. The battery is literally an enclosed bag which looks like it contains a gel substance.

I have to say that I would not continue using the MVP with sub ohm coils. Its using the same design and possibly the same battery as the Smoktech Groove was using, which as you may know had to be recalled & discontinued because of explosions and fires.

Thanks for the resoponses, just looked on Innokin sight and nothing there. I will try to E-mail them.

Bad- I have a huge 36V-20Ah Ping in my garage that uses pouches and I draw the heck out of them with my E-bike. So I know that pouches per se are capable of higher discharge. I have no idea about the ones in the MVP however.
