Week or so ago, had it in water for about under a minute when I forgot I had it in my pocket in the river. Battery got screwed up, the on switch for it would always be on - wouldn’t go off until the cutoff, then it’d continuously go back on again. I put it in the charger case for about a day, then it surprisingly worked about back to normal. Thought it was all good, but then about a week later for some reason now it doesn’t work.

The battery is a kr8 280mah auto. What it does now is when I screw on a cartomizer, it’ll blink the led 3 times, and when I try to draw on it (but I don’t get a draw), it’ll blink again 3 times. Had it in the charger for about a day, but doesn’t seem to do anything. And when in the charger it doesn’t turn on the red led light in the kr8 PCC to indicate a charging.

I cleaned the end of the battery pretty good I think, with a toothbrush though. Don’t know what else to do. So, I was wanting to find out if there’s any way to fix it, if possible.

I’m just curious though, not really desperate about it. I have a secondary battery that I’m using – now my only battery. I decided to order an auto shorty battery from vapor4life to replace the broken one and give a shorty a try for a first time and see if I find it more comfortable than a 280mah one.

I ordered my first two batteries from heaven-gifts. I’m lil picky about led colors, so I hope that at least I don’t get a pink led from v4l, since I’ve heard they come kinda random. So, praying for a red or orange since I prefer a more inconspicuous ecig.

I wanna try and find some shorts that have a waterproof pockets. I don’t trust my memory. I’ll do this again, I know, just like I’ve done many times with regular smokes drownin em in the river. But now is comin fall anyway and summer comin to an end, then later, lame cold winter with lengthy power outages to bring me back to the dark ages, yay.

The battery is trash... Once the circuitry in the build in L.E.D. gets corroded, you are due for a new bat... The L.E.D. board controls pretty much everything with the bat.

You could try sticking it in a ziploc bag with enough white rice to submerge it in for a few days to make sure that all the water is out of it, but I think Sparky may be right and it's probably toast.

Keep the rice method in mind for next time however. There have been a number of people on the boards that have saved batteries this way. It really needs to be done ASAP though so that the internal parts don't corrode on you.

You might also want to do a google search for a waterproof carrying case. It seems like a few board members have mentioned that they use Pelican cases for just such occasions.
