If that is a genuine LGHE4, then it's a good battery. I use them.

Not a good idea to let L ion cells run dry.
Game plan = Pick batteries from the 'Mooch' list.
Go to the Battery University for care & feeding. You don't have to be an engineer to understand. It's rather interesting.
I know it's a PITA when all you want to do is have a nice vape. Understanding of batt safety could save you or a friend from grievous injury..

I'm not sure if it applies in vaping but full battery cycles are usually a good thing

Partial ("shallow") discharges are better for the Li-Ion batteries we use rather than full discharges. Full discharging is best for NiCd and NiMH batteries.

I will give it a shot with a brand new .5 OCC before I build the RBA, see how it goes.

Battery is almost discharged, does it matter when and how much I charge it?

It doesn't matter much when you charge it but you can get a bit longer battery life, before you have to replace them, if you don't discharge them all the way down before recharging.

Like others have said...get some LG hg2s...that's what I use...what I have found out on the subox mini is that you set the wattage that will give you at least 3.7 volts...it depends on the resistance of the coil...I have found out below 3.7 volts is a very harsh vape especially when sub ohming....happy vaping.
