So i had some misfortunes with some subtank minis i know many others have same problems. Here a couple easy fixes i did to save the tank from going to the trash.

First thing first, i know many have done this one. So you go to unscrew your tank to refill as usual. Wait wtf why the afc base unscrewing this not good! Oh great where that ball bearing go! Now my afc ring spins freely... ok dont panic we can fix this with a house hold item! Grab your ink pens they have ball bearings in them. I found the fattest pen i had and took my side cutters snipped the tip right behind the ball. May not be exact same size but it works flawless for the job it doing no more free spinning afc ring.

Now the one that drove me nuts for a month the bad contact in the pin that goes into base. This may not apply to everyone but all the sudden resistance started to jump. I narrowed it down to the pin found it wouldn't make good contact on my spring loaded pin mods. I pulled the rubber insulator out the base where the pin seats in afc base. Some odd reason it decided to expand or get hard and just wouldnt let pin contact rba deck. I took some sand paper and made it a bit thinner so the pin would seat better in the 510 and get better contact on the rba deck. It was easy to fix but a nightmare to track down now my stm sitting at a constant ohm not jumping anymore.

I thought i share these easy fixes with the community and maybe keep some subtanks out the junk draw.

Thanks for the tip! I've lost the ball bearing in two of my subtank minis (I got the third one a week ago so there's plenty of time to lose that one as well). On one I had lost the tiny spring as well, but that was easily replaced by a tiny piece of a small oring.
