I am new to vaping and recently purchased the Sub Box and Subtank mini kit. Really seems great. Last night out of curiosity and boredom, I pulled out the RBA and started messing with it. It comes with a wrapped wire already attached and the another backup pre-wrapped wire, not sure what gauge. Anyhow, I typed into google "Subtank Mini RBA Build," and pulled up an instructional video which turned out to be for a micro dual coil. So I did it, using the existing wire and the backup pre-wrapped wire for the second coil. It worked, after a couple of trial and errors. After the first attempt, it wouldn't register. And as I mentioned, I'm new and do not have a lot of knowledge but do have a lot of determination and that is not always the best combination. So the first thing I found on google, someone mentioned this could be a result of not enough wraps on the wire? So, it wasn't easy, but I went back to my already shaped and cut coils and did manage to squeeze another wrap out of each one and fought for what seemed like forever but did manage to get them positioned and secured. Soaked them and they fired up at 0.3ohms. Not sure what I'm supposed to fire 0.3ohms with, wattage wise? Not even sure if the reading of 0.3ohms is correct based on the 2 coils where there once was only one? When I search online, I see a lot of folks referencing high wattage at such low ohms, like 80-100+, but if I get my Kbox over 25-27 watts at this 0.3ohms, the e-juice starts to taste burnt which makes me wonder if or what all could be wrong with this build? ANY information anyone has to offer would be greatly appreciated. It was pretty fun though.

I think you should start out with a single coil build and get some experience before trying to stuff a dual coil in such a small area. There are wicking issues as well as space issues with attempting this and when you build dual coils they have to be completely identical, and fire exactly the same. So my advice is to scrap it and try a single coil. I run my 0.5 dual setup at 75w but that's with 24g wire.

For that tank I would do 26g, 7 wraps at 3mm, and it should be 0.7 or so and at 25w it'll make some great vapor. Also you might want to invest a few bucks on an ohm reader so you know what you're building and if there's a short.
