Hi All,
I have the a Subtank mini (new model) since Mid August and everything worked fine only the first week or so... I love the vaping experience that I got from it, however it leaks from the air-holes.. it happens both with stock coils or rda setup, I use a PG based liquid (70-30). I tried different tips I found on the net but nothing really worked.. any idea what could create the leaking issue?

NOTE: the o-rings seems to be in good shape and, I fill it just before the metal stripe on the chimney.

Thanks in Advance.

If your rda's builds on the subtank mini are leaking, then that is probably a wicking issue. I had that problem once or twice, but once I got my building technique down it never happened again. If your stock coils are leaking, then you either have a lack of duds,or the rings missing on the stock coil. Look at the bottom of the stock coil. You should see a whitish/clearish little oring above the threading. Check yo make sure it isn't damaged, or missing. I have hand them fall off before, without even noticing. Other than o rings and wicking problems, the only other possibility is that you have a defective tank and the machining is off. Subtank mini'so are not known to have leaking problems. They have a great reputation in that department actually.

Hi @edyle
thanks for sharing your experience with the Subtank, at this point I will buy the old RDA and give it a try.
You might want to save your money, because the old style is terrible.Unless you want to be limited to <30 watts. You can get a great vape at that range, but why limit yourself? The new rba is much better in my experience. I have several of both styles. Dry hitting is a major issue with the original style.

Hi @collinsmcrae
I did notice that the base does not screw smoothly on the chimney.. so perhaps it is really a defective tank :-( Anyway, I will try to do a rebuild with more cotton next time and see how it goes. Thanks and have a good one.

Hey bro,
Subtank minis are actually the best for beginners to start with and also a tinsy bit of a rugmuncher. I have two subtanks and i do have leaking problems not from the RBA but from the OCC coils. These coils are a pain because the way they are made makes it confusing when u try to screw them down. I would strongly consider collin's tip there, its true, the o-rings oon the OCC falls off easily and u need to chec if they are in placed NICELY. And when u screw them down, screw them down tightly but not to huge extremes. But make sure its tight. When u screw down ur tanks chimney, make sure that the pyrex glass is snugged and u screew the chimney right down and snugged too. The chimney design for the subtank is a little looosseeyyy sometimes. And sometimes it might also be a dud OCC coil. Other than that, good luck!

Yeah, if you got a defective one I'm sorry to hear that. I've certainly received my fair share of defective products. It just comes with the territory unfortunately, but it is alway's a drag. I found that there was a slight learning curve for myself with the new subtank min rba section. It took a few tries for me to find what wicking methods gave the best results for me. Obviously, with much larger juice ports comes the risk of flooding if under-wicked, but the trade off is worth it because juice flow is much better.
