I have been using 26 Gauge Kanthol doing simple single coil builds on this deck (My first rebuildable). Would anyone suggest a different gauge. I guess my main question is would one gauge coil last longer than another.

As long as youve got an ohm reader and a quality battery, and you know basic safety, you should be fine. The danger is when people use rewrapped batteries and don't have an ohm reader.26-28 gauge would be perfect. All depends on the ohm rating you want.
Just don't build too low especially on a. Mech mod. Battery venting can be scary.

I was referring to the mech mod safety comment. You use an ohm reader to check for shorts before you put it on your mech.I have an ohms reader but don't use it. My Istick 40 TC is almost as accurate as my ohms reader. I have built so long I have a pretty good idea of the ohms rating before I put the coil in the tank. Or atty.
I sold my Subtank mini and kept the big one, using the RBA in it with the juice channel Dremeled out some. This work really good but I've order one of the v2 mini RBA heads for it. I'm to understand that I may have to shorten the chimney tube a mm or 2 to make it fit properly in the 25 mm Subtank. Anyone have some experience doing this?
I'm not caring if the OCC heads no longer fit right.
Oh ya, using 26 gauge Ti
