I watched the tutorial a dozen times or more and could not get the top flush portion to work like it shows in the video. If it's tight to prevent leaking the gasket will not go on because the walls of the syringe and the gasket are so flexible. If it's loose enough to go on, it leaks. The problem with using syringes and rubber gaskets is they are too flexible. When you compress the rubber grommet, the hole shrinks and the walls of the syringe tube expand. A VERY fine line to get both just right...
So.....I changed the top by dropping down the tube, used a really nice fitting round gasket to seal it up, and added a ring on the "control tank" portion that works as a control ring to adjust the draw.

With some refinement, it could be a nice cheapo vaping mod
I tried making lite version yesterday out of 5ml suringe and 901 to 901 karto adapter ( it has holes in the connector to draw air from the center) so all i made is a tank with no collector. For some reason it didn't work quite well. Flooded the atty, but at the end i had this burned taste. I could see the bubbles in the tank when restricting the airflow but burned taste didn't want to go away. What am i doing wrong?
Through the central hole in the 901. This is what i use to vape 901 since i don't like side hole draw sound and feel. So i just tape it and use 901 to 901 carto adapter which alows adjustable airflow (just screw/unscrew to control airflow). What did you use for the top tank? I like the screw cap idea.I wonder how it draws properly w/o a collector. On mine it's what makes the thing work correctly.

I guess all carto adapters work the same, nut i might be wrong. This is the one i used (HC However i havent solved the problem of atty wicking properly. Could it be the atty itself? I'm using DSE 901 LR and it seems like its going strong for quite a while and then the liquid runs out even though the draws are pretty tight. So i do couple of sharp draws.... see the bubbles in the tank but the burned flavor is not going away. There must be a learning curve or something.... will continue testings i guess... since it looks so cool on my screwdriver with 5ml suringe tank.Bottle is from Madvapes....dirt cheap. Since I rarely use cartos I'm not familiar with the adapter....Is this it?
Using a 901, correct?I wonder how it draws properly w/o a collector. On mine it's what makes the thing work correctly.
