I have been loving my Ego Twist with a mini Vivi Nova and will be picking up my Phoenix clone form the post office tomorrow. I want to start rebuilding my coils and wicks, but the cheap multimeter I have isn't very accurate, so other than knowing I don't have a short, I can't get a reading close enough to determine the true resistance. Watching videos of checking resistance on the many VV tube mods, I want to replicate that convenience, but don't want to vape on anything as big as a Lavatube or Provari.

For me, the Ego Twist 650 mah is even too long, after adding a Vivi Nova or a drip tip and atomizer. The standard Ego 650 mah is a better size for what I want to carry. Any suggestions for a VV mod that can fit into my hand and also check resistance?

He already pointed out that his cheap multimeter is no good, why would he buy another cheap meter that will probably do the same thing?

And he asked about a small VV mod that fit in his hand and checked resistance.

I completely missed the part where he said he had a multimeter. Sorry.

Want a dollar?

Have to +1 what recidivus said. I have a digital multimeter and a ohm meter w/ 510 connection box thing from madvapes. Both work fine, but I find myself reaching for the ohm meter more. Is it worth 20 dollars? probably not, it's damn convenient though. You don't have to touch the probe together, get a read, then measure the vivi nova head, subtract the internal res.

I have a smoktech gripperVV that i picked up on sale (and used a 20% coupon code special) for like half price. It checks resistance (ohms) and battery charge voltage. You can also get a dedicated ohm tester for like $10 if you shop around (may need adaptors if using other than a certain fitting) or you can build your own as i have seen a dozen different tutorials. If you have two certain spec carts you can use their fittings to build one, ou woukd have to check the thread specs to check which ones woukd be able to do that, i built one using two carts that fit together as well as an old dead battery tube for the fitting.
