I got a itaste clk with a iclear 16D clearomizer. It cost 50 bucks and is variable voltage. It has very good vapor production. Im vaping with a 60/40 vg/pg blend made at a local shop. I recommend going to a vape shop and trying different flavors until you find one you like. And dont get the tobacco flavored juice. They taste like garbage in my opinion. I just quit analogs myself so I im not far ahead of you. Good luck.

An MVP2 battery will run you about $70, a Nautilus mini tank about $25. Prices may vary online, but that's what I paid at my local shop. All told: $95 and it's a kick ... set: variable voltage, variable wattage, adjustable airflow, and great flavor and vapor production. This may sound like gobbledygook to you (it did to me) but a good B&M shop with some helpful staff can walk you through what you need to know.

It's what I use (4 or 5 days off cigarettes now) and I can't imagine going back to analogs anymore.

Prior to this set up I dabbled with an Aspire starter kit (~$120 for two ET-S tanks, 2 eGo-T batteries, 2x 10ml bottles of juice, a 5-pack of coils, a charger, and a travel case). It worked ok, but I never really go over the hump until I decided to get a decent kit. I've kept the smaller stuff as my backup, but my Nautilus/MVP is my primary vape. I'm still a newbie as well, so other folks may have better options, but this has worked so far for me and I don't see myself going back to cigarettes any time soon now.

If you are looking to use vaping as a way to quit smoking and then quit vaping I would suggest the mvp with a nautilus as well. If you are looking to start vaping and keep vaping then "mark in florida" has a valid suggestion. That setup would run you a bit over 100 when you account for the batteries and charger but its a wise investment. A charger is 15-20 and batteries run around 10-15 depending. For choosing liquids see if you have a local shop where you can try flavors. Don't buy tons of the same flavor as your taste buds will change and buy a few extra atomizers just to be safe. Best of luck!

Experimenting with different juice flavors and nicotine levels is going to cost you a few bucks in the beginning. (And will be an on-going journey once you're on the vaping trail.) So, from someone who's just shy of 4 months into it:
Kanger Evod starter kit: two batteries, two tanks, charger, case, pack of coils...$40 from most on-line retailers.
2 glass-tank clearomizers (so that you can use the 'tank-cracker' juices) and a pack of coils for them. Aspire et's or ets's can be had for under $8 each...$25 or so total.
Spend the rest on juices to find what works for you. Some of the vendors here, (Mount Baker Vapor springs to mind) might even send you a few freebie flavors if you buy all the gear from them and tell them what's going on.
By the time you find a juice flavor you're in love with you'll be ready to upgrade your hardware and you'll know which direction you want to pursue, and you'll have the evods for backups. Just my suggestion.
BTW, welcome to the forum Mike! Best of luck to you!

ETA: My slow typing is to blame for echoing a couple of the above posts. :D

Mvp2 with a nautilus is a SOLID setup!! Not sure on the nautilus but you can get a Mvp2 on ebay for 40.00 or less, and in my opinion there is no better bang for your buck. It has variable voltage, variable wattage, can serve as an ohms meter once you move to rdas, and the battery life is AMAZING. 2 plus days for me without having to recharge.

I just purchased a nautilus aspire large tank and an eleaf istick, works great so far but slightly over 100 bucks at 110 .

That can't be right. The iStick's run $35 and I just got a full size nautilus for $17 (on sale) Usually $29.99. Even at full price it would be $65! Where did you buy?

I went with Kanger Evod as my starter, and really can't complain. Super easy to use, clean, change liquids, atomizers, etc. And won't break the bank. Think I spent 50 bucks at most. You basically get two units in the kit, which is great for on-the-go. Ive since moved on to a mech mod for home use, but still use the kanger around town and at work.
