I've been vaping for about 1 1/2 years now, and settled on Alien Vision's Boba's Bounty a long time ago as my favorite vape. I've tried countless other juices (including other Alien Vision), and none of them taste nearly as good to me as Boba's. The only problem I run into is the thickness. I've tested out a number of cartomizers and tank systems, and most of them just don't wick the thick juice fast enough. Double-punched cartomizer tanks were decent, but I would have to change the carto every few days to keep the taste good (the thick juice leaves lots of residue in the thick carto wicking).

My current choice, which works pretty well, is the Phoenix bottom coil. It doesn't wick on its own, but I can give the tube a gentle squeeze to send a bit more juice to the coil (and smile at the bubbles rising through the remaining juice). My only problems with it are the capacity, which I wish was bigger, and the need to fill with a needle, which is annoying when you realize you're almost empty while driving 70 on the highway (don't worry, I find a place to stop to fill).

So, anyone have a great setup that works well with thick juices? I'm using a Groove VV/VW, so I've got a wealth of power options to try with your suggested carto/tank.

p.s. I have found that dripping is by far the tastiest and most satisfying way to vape the Boba's, but I'm behind the wheel far too often for that to be my primary method.

I can attest to Kanger's Bottom Coil setups, both the EVOD and the T3 work great with thick juice. I have not tried Boba's but the all VG juices I've done from Johnson Creek have found a remarkable partnership with these clearomizers. The vape is nice and cool too if kept at normal watts (5-6), but you already knew that with the Phoenix. Could you please elaborate with the Phoenix? I'm supposed to be getting them in a few days.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I've bookmarked this thread so I'll have a reference when I place my next gear order.

@Katya - I've seen one of Phil's videos before and found it enjoyable and informative, but I had completely forgotten his name (no offense, Phil! I'm terrible with names). When I went looking for more, a search for "that guy who makes good videos about vaping and stuff" didn't give me very helpful results.

@Dana - I'll have to give that a try! I've got a bag full of cartos that I've been saving for a rainy day, so they might be finding themselves in a horror movie soon.

@foreversummer - Good to know about the Kanger bottom coils! There are so very very many options that it was going to get incredibly pricey to just keep trying everything I could get my hands on.

On the Phoenix, the tube/tank is not completely rigid; it's got a little bit of give to it, so you can compress the sides with a squeeze. I think you probably could break a seal if you squeeze too hard, but a gentle nudge forces some of the juice through the holes to the coil. You can tell you've gotten some juice in, because fun little bubbles will come out of the coil area (I'm easily entertained). I average about 3 good (very good) vapes with each squeeze; it's pretty close to the experience I've had with dripping.

Thanks for the tips, all! Keep 'em coming!

Then get a bottom feeder. Vmod or REO to start. Bottom Feeders are best if you're going to vape high VG or 100% VG. You will use bottom feeder to vape directly off an atty....hence, you are dripping, except juice goes into atty from bottom. :)

Otherwise, be prepared for cartos not lasting real long, and having to clean clearos before each new fill, cuz high VG clogs stuff up a bit. Can be done but I don't like to do all that.
