vaporfi helped get me off cigarettes, juices and a starter kit. I don't recommend them but I thank them lol :)

$80 eGo starter kit here. Wouldn't recommend paying that much, but I thank the store that completely overcharged me for starting me down the path.

yeah that's exactly what happened to this imp -- I started with vaporfi and I suppose they have a soft spot in my heart even though they are crooks and charge way too much --- But mainly I like to poke fun at people who don't like them :w00t:

Whenever you see me recommend them, just know that I am kidding and that I am trying to get under the skin of those who hate them. I don't recommend that anyone purchase from them.

I understand your point @retired1, but I do believe it is done in a humorous way rather than malicious. @AXIOM_1 is only bringing a little fun to the thread and he actually does work hard to welcome new members and assist all with any questions that he can answer.

I don't have a malicious bone in my body despite my avatar character........ If a person cannot even joke with others then something is truly wrong here. I have never "trolled" in my life.

The problem lies in people see that and view it as a recommendation without reading further. There's a time and place to be facetious, the New Member forum isn't it.
Good point, new folks need advice and could misunderstand. I do reserve the right to argue with you on another thread someday though, one harda** grump to another haha :D

    Welcome @Ninjapenguin !

There are SO many options out there. As @djsvapour mentioned, it's not just the gear, but also the juice which plays a factor. Ideally, the hunt should be for something versatile - something you can vape in a variety of ways, depending on your need at the time.

    I always ask -
What form-factor? Box, Tube, Stick? (Stick is probably not in your hit-list now)
Internal Batteries or Replaceable? You'll need good batteries and a good charger if you go with replaceable batteries
What topper? Dripper? Tank? Are you willing to build coils, or will you be popping a blister pack?

Higher PG and/or higher nic will lend themselves toward more throat-hit. VG will produce fluffier clouds. I find a touch of menthol in a juice will also help with a bit of throat-hit.

    Good luck in your quest.

I sure wouldn't suggest anything with a glass tank as durable... a friend of mine who works in the oilfield has destroyed a few glass tanks without any effort, including the subtank mini. His solution was a nautilus mini with steel tank. He's still using an istick30 which has taken a hell of a beating, and it's cheap enough to replace when he does finally destroy it. The silicone sleeve works wonders too!

So I'd suggest a tank that has a steel tank portion, but besides the nauti I'm not sure of any. Be worth a little research on whatever grabs your eye to see if you can find a metal tank for it.

I'd probably go with something in the iStick family or the Kanger Subox kit. I'm using a Kanger Kbox with an original Subtank on it right now and that's probably less than $100 combined. Maybe more like $60-70. The Kbox is durable enough but the problem will be some kind of tank.

The ego-one suggestion above might be a good one. I'd go into a b&m and see if they will let you try one.

You may be interested to know that VaporFi Rocket II and others are not really dual coil. Even if you disassemble the atomizer in store they will try to convince you it is in fact dual coil.

It's not just about a marketing machine but a company that treats customers just looking to quit smoking as an ignorant population ripe for scamming. There is a difference between being over priced and just blatantly lying.

This isn't new in the industry but I think we all have to do our part to change this industry.

As for advice, I really like the UD Zepheryus or the Kanger Subtank Mini. I've been super happy with both =). Also, Juicedb is a great resource for finding better suppliers

Hello I am on the hunt for a new ecig. I have been smoking on a horrible vaporfi rocket for to long now because it helped with nic cravings but it tastes absolutely horrible. I am looking for a affordable (hopefully around $100) ecig that tastes good but also gives a good throat hit. I work construction so it needs to be durable which is why I stuck with the rocket for a while because I can drop it off a ladder with no damage. Any suggestions on what I should look into or atleast where to start looking is greatly appreciated!
If you do construction I would STRONGLY suggest the HEATVAPE INVADER! It is an awesome mod with tons of power and is also a temperature control mod! If you search around, I've seen it as low as $48 but as high as around $79! I'm sorry that I don't remember where I've seen it so low. I own one because I'm always doing something ...like dropping or wetting, etc. I've watched several u tube videos and in one, they drove over it twice with a truck and it still worked! For a tank, after purchasing way too many, I'd recommend a Crown tank by UWELL...or the Starre Tank. (That's assuming you want one with replaceable coils) - I think both also have adapters (?) you can purchase to change them into RTAs (rebuildable tank atomizers) so that when you're ready, you can build your own coils. Both of those tanks should cost around $25-30 and not sure about how much for the RTA adapter. In the lower cost range the isub tank is decent but mine broke when I dropped it for the umpteenth time so I bought the isub G tank which is a little more money but a much better tank it is glass but it comes with a spare tank. The isub I've seen for $10.95-16.95 and the isub G runs around $19.95. On YouTube check out VapnFagan, VapinHeathen (I think that's how he spells it) anyway I'm sure you can figure it out... If you have more questions you can private message me and I'd be happy to help. My best recommendation is to watch lots of YouTube vids and learn about whatever you're thinking about...

As long as people see this post they'll know you're jk but maybe you might tell the poster you're jk at the end of the recommendation?

Before I bought my Provari setup I used an Innokin Itaste 134 Mini with a bundled Iclear X.1 tank. It served me well for 2 years which is fantastic for a setup under £100 and it is really heavy duty too. Mine took some serious hits but it's still working well to this day. For under 100 you are only going to get something made in China so just be careful what you throw your money at.
