I want to try again with ecigs. First try was with a mechanical mod and cartomizers about a year ago. It didn't work out for me as the cartos didn't seem to deliver consistent hits, had some mild leaking issues and I didn't care for the way they spit little droplets of juice out through the little air tube when taking a drag.

Id prefer something on the smaller side and relatively inexpensive in case round 2 doesn't work out. I'm looking at the eRoll/eMini but am open to other suggestions. I really hate leaks of any kind so that's a big priority, a good reputation for not leaking. I don't have a lot of free time to fiddle, so plug and play would be nice. Lastly, if I can kick the cigs, I have no problem buying all kinds of other stuff later so keep in mind that now I just want something simple.

Please help me with some recommendations.

Thanks!

Most recommended starter kit in New Members Forum has to be this little jewel from My Vapor Store:

Neither under-powered, nor over-powered, with excellent "topper" choices. I've had good luck with the evods myself and use them daily. Very portable and a very nice draw and vape. Try a Spinner, or Twist with an evod or MT3s, and you'll be good to go with all the gear you need including backups. The cigalike route is often ineffective, as we hear a lot around here, though, others swear by them. You like what you like, I suppose and YMMV. Some good strong juice, stronger to start, with good batts, and you can power through the cravings. Good luck, welcome, YOU CAN DO IT! Power up and Vape On!

Wow Bill, they ain't too shabby at all.

I would also recommend the eGo Twist and the Kanger T2'S as the easiest fill 'n go. Designed for the Twist batteries, I've found the T2's to be very reliable. To fill, just take the mouthpiece off, and pour liquid in avoiding the center post, screw mouthpiece back on. Replacement heads are cheap, so when the coil packs up, take mouthpiece off, unscrew existing coil/head off, screw on new one put mouthpiece back on and vape away. (That took longer to write than it would take to actually do).

If you don't want to deal with leakage I would strongly urge you AWAY from the e-roll. It is a great little unit. One of the few e-cigs that looks like an analog AND functions like one. They are finicky though. Sometimes without warning mine would leak like crazy. Also if you don't have a lot of "fiddle" time you should steer clear as you will fill this unit about once every 30 mins to an hour. Strongly recommend that you start with a simple Joyetech eGo upgrade and a Vision tank or an old school Smoktech dual coil. Neither of these units will leak or spit. I have had issues with leaking and spitting from EVODs and other bottom coil stuff. If you REALLY want a bottom coil then the Kangertech Protank is the way to go.

Good advice on the eGo but have to disagree on the Eroll. There's a sub-forum and, so far, only one person there has experienced leaks which is, evidently, from two defective tanks. Others, including myself, haven't had leaks that were not due to user-error... usually over-filling which happens with any setup including my eGo with cartomizers.

Yeah, I have a TotallyWicked mini RCS. It's basically the same thing. it's a really nice and compact. I mistaken it for a marker often. Haven't had any issues with it. It hasn't leaked and the tank hasn't shown any issues. I can take it easy on vaping and it'll last all day. Or when I go to the bar, I gotta make sure it's near full charge lol.

you know, i use almost exclusively cartos, and never get leaks, just takes care and proper use, its not the tool, its the mechanic.

I found I had problems with cartos when I used with my fruity/gum/sweeter flavors. Hubby only uses menthol and has had NO problems with his cartos. I love my clearomizers with my Ego Twist, he loves cartos with his Vamo. Not sure if he is just a better "filler" than I am though!

Is this a Vision tank?
Vision Ego Clearomizer V2.0

The thing that makes me want to steer clear of tanks for now is they "waste" a lot of juice...I'm still trying to find the right flavors for me.
That's the one buddy. Really nice consistent vape. Sometimes when the liquid gets low you need to 'tip and roll' the tank to re-saturate the wicks as the coil is at the top. I have very few complaints about this unit from my customers.
