Hi All!

Let me start with, i am greatly appreciative of all the help from everyone and second, i am really really bad at mixing! lol
I just got a batch of HC flavors and i am not having much succes =( I have heard good things about these concentrates and i went a little nuts, but i am a shocking mixer. Only ones i have done well with are PA ones and i pulled the percentages from their website (i am very textbook and need instructions when mixing hahaha)

If anyone can offer me help and percentages as to what to mix for the flavors i have it would be largely appreciated! =)

I got pear, orange, cola, green apple, hami melon, lemon black tea, green tea, strawberry, kiwi fruit, banana, black current and redbull.

I almost got black current right (with many thanks to define) and thats the only one so far.
percentages would be fantastic! if anyone can help =)

I am mixing at 70-80%PG and 30-20% VG (which ever i dont mind, as long as the flavor is good! =) )

The amounts i am mixing are between 20-30ml

I have completely fudged up my redbull mix and hami melon and i am just wasting too much nic juice =( who would have thought mixing was so hard =( it is a fine art =P

any help on these HC flavors and percentages would be fantastic!

I searched the forum already and sifted through quite a bit and i haven't found anything that can help me much =(

If someone can help or point me to a thread that will give me mix percentages that would be great!!!!! =)

cheers everyone!

Mike

Sorry our previous advice didn't help. The mix percentage is going to vary according to each flavor so yeah it would be nice if there was one number we could give you. We all go through this so it's a struggle and/ or a fun challenge. I can just say that when you find your percentage for each one to write it down.

I can say that Health cabin's own guidelines are wildly optimistic in most cases. You just need more but it can be usually between 10-20% or more for tobacco flavors. Sometimes a little less.

Here's what I did with my white choco and vanilla cola flavors. I mixed 4 small 4mL batches of each at 5 10 15 and 20% and am letting them steep a couple weeks but you can just warm them a little in some warm water bath (the filled bottles) and speed it up a bit if you are impatient. I plan on trying them on 4/1 to see whereabouts is the best for me. I use 100mg/mL liquid nic, the PG and VG are very inexpensive as is the flavor, so whatever is wasted is minimal expense. Anyway, I can mix the ones that aren't right together to make the proper percentage anyhow once I'm done.

Maybe what would be best for you is to start out with a smaller mix, say at 5-10% for each in a small batch and if that's not enough, increase it little by little just by adding and keeping track of how much flavoring you are adding % wise, then once you are happy with it, that's your percentage.

Thank you for your answer.

we suggest customer to start to try DIY by using flavor and no flavor ejuice, and then start to use PG/VG to dilute strength.:)

Thanks for that siouxsie. yeah have discovered that the percentages are different for all flavors =)
Im still pretty bad at mixing, still havent mastered it and have been wasting quite a bit (sigh). If anyone can give me recipes for the flavors i ordered that would be awesome! i usually dont have time to muck around and experiment too much, only have about time for one mix every 3 or 4 days so help with those flavors would be awesome and much appreciated! (sorry for the tall ask as well guys and girls, but figured someone out there has to have these flavors documented and mixed well =) no harm in asking right? =p )

I just received my order about a week ago, I'm impressed with the shipping speed, very fast, about 2 weeks to Ohio, thank you.

I purchased some favoring, I just mixed up some root bear, and it clouded up the mix really bad, I'm letting it sit for a few days hoping it will clear up, smells good for sure, is the clouding of the mix normal?

I've just started myself so I'm no pro. I bought 36mg unflavored VG base, 100% PG, strawberry, watermelon, spearmint and blueberry flavors. I mixed as follows to make 20ml testers of 18mg juice:

10ml 36 mg VG
9.5ml PG
0.5ml flavour (2.5%)

I've tried the watermelon and spearmint so far and they were great (especially the watermelon!!) This was straight after I made them with no steeping. Just make and vape! 2.5% flavor was more than enough IMO for these flavors. I used Scubabatdan's e-juice calculator for the measurements which can be found here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/32206-ejuice-calculator-added-quantity-calculations.html I will report back once I've tried the the other 2 flavors but right now I love watermelon.

Edit: this works out to approx 60% pg/ 40% vg ratio (according to my calculations) and doesn't seem much thicker than a Dekang 100% PG juice

In my experience the tobacco flavorings need to be mixed @ %30 to %40 minimum. Disapointing to say the least when you consider that we still dont know the effects of inhaling flavorings. I would suggest that HC double the concentration to please the masses. Now, the spearmint and milkmint I got need a bit less, maybe %20 but the tobacco flavors are very weak IMO.

You could easily dump 10mls of flavoring in a 30ml mix and still have a weaker juice compared to some of the commercial liquids available.

hope that helps.

Update on my testing on White Chocolate and Vanilla Soda (a Dr. Pepper flavor with no PG, so it's thin):

I found less is better on White chocolate, the more you add the less taste there seems to be. So I settled on 12%. But you could go lower.

I found 20% to be right for me on the Vanilla Soda but if you don't like strong flavors (and vanilla soda is a very light flavor in all incarnations from vendors I've tried), then you could go 15% but probably not lower. And you might wanna up the VG since the flavoring is very thin due to lack of PG or VG base.
