Suggestions on replacing the hard plastic end of a carto

I have some cartos with a hard plastic tip on them. I find them difficult and inconvenient to use. Are there any suggestions on what I can do to replace them. I know there are rubber ones availible when you buy certain brands of cartos but I have enough cartos right now that it don't really want to buy any more at the moment. Does anyone sell just the tip or are there any substitutes I can use?

Here are some multi color tips. They work fine in 510 cartos, however I find they are easy to push into the carto, but so are the ones that come with the cartos...

The rubber sleeve (finger pad thing) on a mechanical pencil or ink pen works like a champ.

I use a drip tip on a carto tank, all my cartos have rubber tips that I've been tossing in a baggie.
