So I've only recently started to "vape", if you can consider the disposable e-cigs vaping.

What I've done is bought myself a kr808D kit from Bull Smoke. I went this route instead of an ego or 510 because it looks very similar to a normal cigarette and vaping this outside in public will draw less attention.

I'm low on money at the moment and can't afford a second kit for myself but I'm looking around for a KR808 clearomizer that I can use to get my by until I can go out and grab a full ego/510 kit for home use.

I've looked at a few of the Kanger ones but most of them seem to be discontinued and/or unavailable in the Canadian e-cig stores. I've also seen the V2 clearo's but again, not seeing them anywhere in Canadian stores. Does anyone know of either a half decent clearo, or really good carto for KR808 (In relativity to other KR808's, I'm fully aware the KR808 is not popular and not on par with the ego/510 battery styles.)

The batteries I have claim to be 4.2V, from reviews on them they seem to hold steady at around 3.6-3.8V as the charge depletes, haven't actually tested this myself.

Smokeless Image is reputable vendor in Ohio who sells exclusively 808 threaded e-cig gear. The sell a Nano clearomizer which is the same diameter as a cigalike battery.

I have been vaping 3 years now...had to kiss a lot of frogs. ...
Never been happier with vaping since I discovered the Kanger BCCs (bottom coil clearomizers)

They are inexpensive...work really well....and can be rebuilt ..if you want to save some $$$. Get 1.8 or 2.0 ohm coils for 3.7 batts like egos.
I use the T3S kanger mostly...love them. Hope to post a video soon on how I recoil/re-wick these....easy. I have been using the same coils for six months now.....easy to rebuld. And more cosistant burn.

Good luck

I was looking into getting a Kanger Evod or other bottom coil Ego combined with an Ego Twist as a first at home vape. For now though I'll need to stick with the KR808 and either order prefilled carto's (Which I'd like to avoid doing) or find a cheap KR808 clearo to last me until I can afford to buy myself another kit.

@KC33

Thanks I'll definitely check that out!

@Masterchief68

Thank you! I've been reading these forums for a little while before switching off analogs, figured if I was going to start vaping I might as well get into the community as well!

Hi, NuuDream, and welcome!

I would recommend going with the eGo over the 808 threading for the very simple fact that there are far more options in terms of accessories. When I started, I didn't do my research and when with an 808 system and, before long, I picked up an eGo to add to my arsenal of batteries. While I do like the original equipment (and I credit it with getting me off the analogs--and that's what really matters), I probably wouldn't buy it if I had the chance to do things over.

I completely understand the lack of funds, but one of the things to consider is that the for the cost of a few packs of cigarettes, you can get yourself a pretty decent battery and some tanks. Without a doubt, there is an initial investment required, but it didn't take long before I started noticing that I had a lot more money in my account!

Good luck to you!

I 100% agree, but like I said in the OP I only grabbed the 808 because when at work on smoke breaks it'd be nice to not be stared at with an ego/510. The 808 is a bit more subtle and can almost be passed off as just a cigarette. I fully plan on going with an ego/510 setup! Either way thanks for the welcome and info!

Edit: So far the 808 with the carto's it came with is not bad, the Bull Smoke battery actually seems to be doing well, at least in comparison to the disposables I was using at first!

You can easily refill KR808 cartridges using the "condom method", basically just pushing juice into the hole using the rubber caps that often come with cartridges. I've used this technique with Mistic e-cigs (very similar to the KR808).

Youtube has some good videos on the exact details of this method.
