Ok my birthday is coming up fast and I have been wanting a vv mod with a volt meter. I have looked all over for something unique and sexy. Does not have to be super girlie, but feminine would be nice. I have considered the vv mod from vapecore and the little sister. I am interested in something that goes up to at least 7 volts since hopefully this pv will be one I stick with for awhile. I am also on the fence about what kind of juice system I want, I have been considering a bottom feeder since I have so much trouble with ce2 carts :glare:. Its hard to believe I have come this far and have all this new verbage in the 2 1/2 months I have been vaping. Who would have guessed that when I walked into that green smoke store I would be starting a whole new chapter in my life!!:p I am willing to spend about $120, that should get me something durable and not break the bank, right?

though i can't really recommend a VV device that will be the end all be all, i love my buzz pro, though it doesn't fit any of your specifications sadly-its a beautiful PV(IMO)
in you price range, i remember looking over these at one point-
Variable Voltage(though mostly looks like they are out of stock)
and thinking they looked kinda neat-don't remember the high end voltage on em though-

mostly, i just came on to say Happy Almost Bday!

Look at a few VV's. They look like bomb detonators! You should try something more sleak, professional looking. The ego has a tank system with a great throat hit and a lot of vap! Different ones! LED, battery life indicator, and a pen style! My favorite is the pen style. The have different kits, so here's a link for a pretty basic kit. LCD Display Bronze Series Starter Kit - Darth Vapers

These are not "girly" but the two best ones on the market are the Darwin and the Provari. I prefer the Darwin because it's simplier to use and more advanced technologly but they are both excellent.

Heavy vapers get 21+ hours on a charge with the Darwin. I like that it comes with (no extra charge) a full 2 year warranty. I also like that it has "regulated boost circuit" technology so the last vape after 21 hours is the same as the first - ultra consistent. You also just turn the little wheel to change the watts/volts - no multiple button presses. It is the only PV on the market that automatically senses the change in the atty/carto and adjusts the power output to maintain how you set it when you stated vaping.

I've done a lot of research on VV systems, and I'm planning to pick up a Buzz Pro. However, this doesn't have a digital display. Personally, I don't like them for "out and about", though I suspect I would like having it when I'm at home.

Buzz Pro

They also have those with a very nice looking wood veneer. Those tend to sell out fast, but they sure look nice. I'll link an example. If that interests you, there is a forum here on ECF where you can get more details.

Not a whole lot of people vape at 7V. There's always the chance something new will come out but, really 6V should be plenty. The voltmeter is more of a toy than anything else. If you're curious, madvapes has an inline voltmeter for around $15. I have one but, I don't use it much. If you must have it, there are probably others but, the only ones that come to mind immediately are the provari, the darwin and the monkeybox. I go by the taste and the position of the knob. You will too pretty quickly.

Just trying to open you up to more options.

If variable voltage is your thing, you won't find too many "petite" devices that will also have long lasting battery power.

You can certainly use high voltage mods that are classy, but they won't VV, or they won't be small, or they won't have battery stamina. Size does matter in the world of batteries, especially if you want to draw a lot of power from them and not swap them every couple hours.

The provari or buzz are the common choices for a robust VV device. The darwin looks very wierd to me, and even I'm kind of nerdy, so I don't know that it would suit you, but a lot of people like it. The buzz would be the least expensive, and more in your price range. The provari and darwin, plus batteries and charger, start pushing close to 200+, brand new.

You could also opt for a high voltage mod, that isn't vv, and spend a lot less, and have something far more compact, but you'll sacrifice battery life, in the sense that you'll need to swap them out a lot.

Check the other sections of the forums for lots of video reviews of PV's, before you make your decision. You may find something that isn't as mainstream, fits your budget, fits your style, and you'll be happier with, than purchasing a lightsaber handle to vape from. Or go all out and get a well known one like the provari, and don't worry what people think of it.

Happy B-day anyways :)

EDIT: And just to reiterate what MickeyRat said, 7volts would be brutal. Everyone is different, but 7volt vaping is just absurd, in my opinion. A big battery, that doesn't voltage sag under load, would destroy almost any juice at that power, regardless of the atty resistance. It would be painful. Almost nobody vapes that high of a voltage, or they use extremely high resistance attys to tone it back down to a usable level, thus defeating the purpose.

All wise words. I like a hot vape yet never go above 6v. The buzz is very robust yet small. Good point on the voltmeter. Its something to go wrong in the future. I have black but they have nice colors

In the notcigs subforums there was a poll for people who have a VV mod, asking what was their "sweet spot". The most popular spot is showing 4.5 volts.

75% of the votes were in the 4.25 to 5 volts range. Above that and below that, the numbers fell a lot.

That's only if they bother to measure it. For me and probably for most of them, it's a little past the center knotch on a buzz pro. Right around where the red is just starting to show. :)

Ok so I am now the owner of a vv box mod. I don't know how to post pics, but it's just a small plastic white box, nothing special. It does not have the volt meter like I wanted but I just fiddle with the lil wheel till it is as warm as I want. I am sure this won't be my last mod, it's just a starting point, and seems to be working ok so far, so I am happy. Happy birthday to me happy birthday to me, lol. Well early bday, mine is the 18th. Now my question is how I can pretty it up? Should I try to bedazzle it or something, or does anyone know what kind of paint? Or are there decals or anythig that can go on a plain box? I have to be able to do something, any ideas?
