So Cal
Like the title says ladies and gents...

I have an idea for a stand that I want to make and am looking for inexpensive female 510 connectors I can secure into a nice piece of hardwood. I don't want just drilled holes, I want my attys to screw into the stand and be secure!

Any and all suggestions will be appreciated!

TIA!

You gotta look, because I can't remember if these places still carry them or if they discontinued DIY parts, but for starters:

smoktek.com
goodprophets.com

A lot of places that used to carry cheap 510 connectors got out of the DIY parts market when people moved from building simple VV box mods to dna boards and hard core mechanicals. I know a lot of places where you can get a $20.00 510 connector now but the low end stuff may take a little digging to locate.

Yeah I'm finding them hard to find also... I don't need pricy gold plated 510's for a stand!!
I think I'll be stopping at Homo Depot later today to see if I can find some M7 nuts!

Thanks a lot! The fat daddys look perfect for my intended purpose! I will still check to see if I can find the correct threaded nuts at Home Depot, for a cheaper alternative!

this thing is an aluminium topcap for m16 sentinel clone.
I actually ordered one.
It's got a spring loaded center pin.... I mean the m16 sentinel clone that I do have does have a spring loaded center pin; that's why I ordered another topcap - because I'm interested in the spring loaded center pin; it means I can just screw topcaps onto 510 threaded toppers and just leave them there.

but the problem is the bigger threads for the mod side. I dunno what threads it is; I know it's not m21x1.

Anyway, regardless of the details of that particular topcap

the idea I'm putting out

is instead of something where you keep threading in and threading out on a weak 510 connector repeatedly,

if you can get a suitable TOPCAP (from a mechmod) and the corresponding kick tubes,

you can insert the kicktubes into the wood stand thingy,

and the topcaps screw onto the toppers..

then you are screwing topcaps onto kicktubes.

I prolly shouldn't have another drn=k

Do you mean screw something like this into the wood?

That one looks like the privatev2 'grand vapour' one which I also have!

But to answer the question: ..no.. but almost;; I mean it would be like 1 inch sized holes instead of 1/4 inch sized holes that you'd need on the wood or better yet you could just use the plumbing pvc stuff to make something up.

This piece here on the left above is the piece that would stick up out of the wood, or cheaper yet would be the plumbing pvc

The above pics show an m16 sentinel aluminium clone I got from fasttech.

The pros are:
1: that topcap is spring loaded: the user can just screw the topper on and not have to be fiddling with adjustment screws
2: it's turn-telescopic: it's telescopic-threaded so you just keep turning to screw it it to the right size - which kinda negates the adavantage of #1 above because if you already have one, you don't need the other as critically; either way stuff will fit lengthwise.
3: you can get topcaps

cons:
1: I don't know what the thread is but it's not m21x1, (and its almost but not the same as my privatev2 grandvapor clone
2: It can't take 18650+kick (I could do it if I had a second one; just add on a piece; it's stackable).

I really wish I had a bag of thread adapters so I could take the top of one thing and connect it with the bottom of another.

a pic is worth a thousand words so:

The plumbing thing I forget what they call it:

Those things^^^; that pic shows the male thread version, but you can use the female thread version instead;
so you'd make your stand with wood and pvc, but you use topcaps screwed onto the pvc as a way to interface to the 510 thread of toppers.

like this:
