yes strange as it may seem, I guess it needs a new chip or something.

So when you put a multimeter at the atty connector is it outputting what it's set to output? In other words, if you have the Provari set to 4.3 volts have you put a multimeter on it to verify that that's what's coming out of it?

Well I got my Provari back yesterday it wouldda been here sooner but I forgot to include a return address so it took 3 days longer to get back. Everything works now, I think they sent me the wrong unit though. The unit I sent them had 2 distinctive scratches that I know of which I can't find now and it has some texture when i tried to rub my nails on to it, either that or they refinished my unit, this one looks pristine. They also put in a new button coz this one is a little harder to push, new window looks good but I kinda miss the old window though coz the LED readout was a little bigger. All that and they only charge me $20 priority shipping included not a bad charge considering my unit is out of warranty.

PS: I don't know how old this unit is from what I can gather this was first production, it doesn't have any serial number I can see and as hard as I used it since I got it last February, if this unit is more than a year old the $20 extended warranty is worth it.
