I gave my son a Nebula (KR808D-1) starter kit and some e-juice, and I know he's been using them, but also still smoking cigarettes too. Last night he threw away an empty carton and said, well that's the last of those, I was just finishing them off, I'm not going to get anymore!! YAY

I haven't been pushing him, just happy if the PV even helped him cut down on the analogs, but I was thrilled to hear he was going to quit the analogs altogether, and really was happy with vaping.

Wooohooo that IS great news!!! I am hoping my brother will do the same, last I checked he was smoking and just using the e cig at night after work. He feels embarrassed to use the e-cigs at work.

Thanks everybody. Loveridden, it can be hard to overcome that feeling of standing out, hopefully he'll outgrow that, but even vaping at home cuts down his analog poison a lot!

Good job all of you. I'm working on my stepdad and sister right now. Slow going on both. Neither is ready yet. I hope with enough gentle love and info they will be ready at some point. I've been vaping exclusively for a little over a month and I think they are still waiting to see if I will be successful. I want to go out and buy them all starter kits and steal their analogs, but if they aren't ready it won't do me any good. I don't wanna be like the much hated car salesman type and push them into anything. Everything in its time, right?

Hi Angi---have they tried your pv? If you can afford it go ahead and get them the starter kits. No pressure to quit, just offer it saying that you enjoy it so much, you hope they will like them, as an addition to their analogs, maybe to cut back a little bit. That's basically what I did with my son. I didn't push him to quit at all, and I was quite honestly shocked when he said he was. If you can't afford to "waste" the money I wouldn't do it though, and I don't mean that in a sarcastic way. I mean that if it would be a hardship you would gladly endure if you knew it would work, but can't really afford to just do even if they never touch it, then just hold off until they ask or buy their own. There's no real guarantee they'll take to it, of course. But think about how it was with you. I know when I started I didn't intend to quit smoking, I just was blown away by the pv--the good one, which also brings up a point, even if they see you doing well, if left to their own devices, they may go out and buy a crappy pv and think you are a fluke or something haha.

That's wonderful, I wish that would of worked for my son, but it didn't. I gave him everything he need and he still smokes analogs, so does his girlfriend, she even bought a kit and gave it to her mother. My daughter bought her ande her boyfriend a kit and they are still buying analogs, saying just one more pack! What am I doing wrong? What is a mother to do!

The problem I have is that when I was puffing like a magic dragon, my wife didn't smoke and didn't want to. Now that I have put down analogs for good and am vaping, she has decided she wants to vape too. So I had to buy more kit for her. I tried to tell her that she shouldn't start a habit that she didn't already have, but she's a grown woman. At least she didn't take up analogs!
