RDA Super metallic taste from copper mutation?

I recently bought an authentic copper Mutation X v2 from a friend and after a few days it has a really metallic taste whenever I vape it. It tastes like a penny. Is this just because the barrel and top cap are copper?

you are getting copper flavor from the cap. my plume veil is bad about it especially when I have a copper drip tip in too

I have a copper V2 and I do notice a slight difference in the flavor compared to my SS V3. It's not overpowering to me, but I basically don't use it anymore since I got my V3 and the glass top cap for the V2. I originally got the copper finish because all my other attys were either black or silver/SS and I wanted something different. I didn't even think about the difference in taste or the fact that copper gets that blue-ish patina on it after a while until after the fact. Needless to say, I would be buying anymore copper atomizers.

I have a solid copper 454. Copper cap, copper deck.
I notice no difference in taste from my SS 454.

I don't notice a difference in my water either.
