Super Six issues

I've had my Super Six for a few months. Love it. I do have a few small issues with it though.

1. I thought it came with a locking device in the switch to prevent accidentally engaging the device. Was I just misinformed?

2. I've noticed that carts melt, especially at 6v. Is there a way to avoid this? I've cut off parts of carts on my 510s and 302s to prevent contact near the element, which seems to work okay.

3. What's the best way to buff out any gouges in the metal? I've dropped it a few times on concrete. It still works perfectly, but the finish has taken a beating.

Thanks.

1. Only the T1 came with a locking switch. The Super6 was never advertised to have one.

2. You're overheating the attys. The only way to run them cooler is to change to a lower voltage or shorter draws. It's the heat produced, not the PV.

Most people drip or use cartomizers @ 6v. The plastic cartridges seem to melt really easy.

3. Mothers aluminum polish is what i use but, if there are truly deep gouges the only way would be to try and sand them out with some 600 grit paper and then repolish it.

As Brock stated. + Try lining up your 510 cart it will prevent this from hapening. The cup is oval shaped just like the end of your cart. Line up the cart in the same direction as the white cup and it should prevent this. You might want to make sure that your filler material is one that just holds the liquid in suspension and releases it readily.

Thanks for all the input.

1. Yeah, I wasn't too familiar with model type when I ordered. Totally not a problem, and that's what I figured. Thanks for clearing that up.

2. I knew it was the atties overheating; I was just wondering if there was a way around the meltage. I've been dripping a bit more lately, but I prefer carts. I spend a lot of time on the highway, so refilling on the go isn't an option. I don't actually use 6v very often, but it's a nice added feature for sure. I'm quite content with 3.7v.

3. Probably needs to be sandpaper. Also not a big deal. (Not big enough for me to go buy very fine sandpaper just yet, anyway. Ha ha.)

Cheers.

You may want to try cartomizers. It's pretty much all I use anymore.

They're great for driving, meetings and overall use.
A cart will typically last four or five hours (depending on how heavily you vape)and you can carry full carts for a quick swap and even a flavor change.

Both the 510's and original 808's perform well @ 3.7 and can also be used at 6v. You want to limit your draws to 1 or 2 seconds at a higher voltage so as not to scorch / burn the inner wick.

yea I'm always going back to try all the cartos out there.... and the last few weeks all I have used was the 510 cartos (Boge style with the rubber tip) these bad boys to me are better than most kr808 styes I've used... but I haven't tried the premium style 808's yet but that is on my to do list next month. :) So yea I agree try the new 510 cartos... they are fantastic. :)

To learn to stop overheating atomizer @ 6V, try this (seemingly odd) experiment:

"Tailpipe" (drip and vape without cartridge or drip-tip, just suck directly from the metal atomizer), while tapping the button on and off. Your lips will feel when the atty gets hot LONG before your fingertip can discern any change in temperature. You will quickly see how badly you have been abusing those atomizers with continuous 6V. I was losing an atty every 2 or 3 days until I started doing this. Now they last 2 or 3 WEEKS before they start to act funny (I still haven't "killed" one).

My conclusion is that the steady application of 6V is too much power for a regular atty. By tapping the button on and off, you can keep the atty in a more optimal temperature range for a longer period of time.

And yes, it makes you look ridiculous. I do it anyway, 'cuz I'm old, fat, bald, happily married, and I don't care what anyone thinks about anything. :)

Grimmerz... they are called Premiums for a reason :)

I'm a big cartomizer user. I've bought them from everyone and have finally found where my future carts are coming from.

Got my package this afternoon, filled one of their premiums and they're great.
The soft rubber top is unlike anything I've used. Kinda like the other rubber tops but deeper with a drip ring built in. The material is really fluffy and absorbent. Holds just a few drops over 1ml and they hit like they're LR without the burnt taste. It's almost like they're already broken in but still brand new. Nice even vape filled draw. Almost warm. Makes we want to on-off vape with them.

I also got a few packs of their "cool" cartomizers which are the same thing but, just a tad bit longer. I have not filled one of them at this time but based on this one, I'm sure they'll perform. The material is the same fluffy, pure white material.

It's like the Super-T units. Sight unseen you just know the next one will be great.

Grab a pack or two and givem a try. If you don't likem, I'll buy'em from ya.. :w00t:

These sound awesome and I will be ordering them soon. Sounds like these came from V4L because you mentioned "cool" cartos, but if not where did you get the cartos from so I know I'm getting them from the right place.

Also did you get the blank premium cartos? I really am looking forward to trying these cartos... I honestly can't thank you enough. :)

Whoa!! Avatar change

Right now there's a 22% discount. Code = Customer22

Both the Premium and the Cool Premiums are from V4L

I'm still vaping the same cart and the performance hasn't changed a bit.

sweet deal... wow your still on the same cart... oh man payday is coming soon... I can't wait to order. :)

I just wanted to add to this a bit...

the premium cartos are a slightly lower resistance...so they do burn a bit hotter...so the concensus is that they burn out or burn the filler faster...

then you gave the cool carts shich are a slightly higher resistance but something about the insides has been tweaked to give the same vapor as the premiums but at a slightly lower temp so less burning of filler material.... and they're the same as the turbo cartos from vapornine...or the one mega ones from nhaler

Also, if you can part with it, I can chuck it in my lathe and redo the surface which will get all but the worst gouges out...no charge if you'd like that done. It's a quick process so i can get it back out to you the next day after i get it in...

Best,

David

just in case the OP missed this ..since he hasn't been logged back on yet :D
