Thanks div, I think it would take multiple truck loads of water to fill up T's pond lol

We can't seem to buy much rain out this way, and other parts of the country are gettin killed with it. Sure wish things would even out a little...it would be better those that are gettin too much and better for us folks that aren't gettin any!

SC - A lot of my students were affected by the tornadoes in Alabama. Some had to drop courses. My heart goes out to the people that were affected by the April 27th tornadoes, as well as those in Joplin, Missouri.

That's right, there's also the flooding. One of my students lives in Memphis. She was affected by the April 27th tornadoes and then by the flooding. She's still trying to keep up with her classes!

I hate our lawn looking awful, but I can live with it. What's starting to concern me though is the upcoming hurricane season as it's supposed to be very active. Time to buy a new generator before they are sold out.

Hey SecondBreath, wuz that you that stopped by and threw that jar of water in my pond? I saw the dust had been stirred up a little. I was out there this morning putting suntan lotion on our catfish and happened to see that.

You know, it was eleven degrees HOTTER here in East Texas today than it was in Tucson!!!

I'm thinking about going into the "desert landscaping" business. I'll probably get rich and have to pay that income tax stuff.

Well, I'll tell ya, its hotter than a goat’s behind in a pepper patch here and so dry the fish are knocking on the door, askin' for a drink of water. I'm tellin' ya, its so dry the trees are bribing the dogs and the birds are building their nests out of barbed wire.

Then, addition to giving the fish a higher spf suntan lotion, perhaps you should bring out bowls of water for them to drink!

Pretty sad about the trees and the birds. I think you should go to Home Depot and buy a new tree so the birds can build nests again. :)

Hon, we have so many trees here that its impossible to walk in a straight line because your going to have to walk around a tree. That's the reason they call this place the Piney Woods but we do have a lot of oak too. This country is wall to wall trees and if you don't keep your land cleaned, you'll be growing trees.

I promise, there is no need to go out and buy a tree!

Or a bird.

Well, they also call East Texas "The Land of Tall Pines."

We had three people from Florida come here and they were asking about the Tall Pines. So I took them out to see them. And it ended up I had to take all three of those Florida people to the hospital.

They all three got the roof of their mouth sunburned from leaning their head back with their mouth open trying to see the tops of those trees.

Pretty tragic. I mean a Florida person that can't talk because the roof of their mouth is sunburned. It was very sad.
