Possums have been in southern Ontario all of my life and they've been in Toronto for at least 10 years. I used to see one every year or two, lately I run into a few a year. Raccoons still have them beat 100 to 1 though.

Apparently the Virginia opossum is the only species in Canada and only in southern Ontario.

The possum in my pictures would come by and just sit on the fence, very docile and sweet. It let me take loads of pics. It's like a cross between a .... and a cat in some ways. They are actually quite harmless, just look weird. Except when they're babies, too cute.

Wow you learn something new about this country every day! Possums in Ontario, who woulda' thunk it.

I wonder, do possums eat pheasants? Because I have this bloody pheasant in my back yard that drives my dog nuts. Would you be up for a trade?

I live in the country guess I have been lucky nothing ever came in the doggy door probably cuz they are scared of the two Boston Terriers inside the house lol
