So with this upcoming paycheck I plan on surprising my brother with his first vaporizor. He has been around me while I have vaped and seen all my mods and stuff and I have dropped hints that I was gonna get him to start vaping too and he seemed receptive to the idea. Now I don't really know what would be best for him, but I don't want to just /ask/. So what i'm thinking is starting with a tobacco juice that is only his and sharing mine as needed until he figures out what he likes/dislikes. So my first question is... What are some good menthol and non menthol juices. My second question is... Should i get him an ego? Start him out on the MVP? Maybe an ego twist? What do you guys think, and what do you wish you could have started out with? This is my little bro I don't wanna get him a piece of crap :D but I don't wanna throw him in deep and overwhelm him either.

And one more thing. I have a PG intolerance. Does anyone know if its hereditary and if he might have it too? Or should I just play it safe?

Sent from my iPhone because I'm awesome like that.

I started out with ego type batteries and then moved on. I wish I would of found the itaste vv 3.0 from Innokin from the start. I am off to more advanced units now but for quick errands and such, I always grab the vv with a mini pro tank attached to it.

I gave my brother an eGo and this^^^ is what he bought for himself. He even uses it once in awhile, but hasn't quit smoking so I'm glad I didn't go crazy with something expensive. Mine didn't like any of the tobacco vapes, he went for the fruity watermelon type and a cinnamon roll type.

As a new vaper myself, (No cigs for 2 weeks so far) I started out on a Madvapes ego kit. Right away I bought a spinner locally, and an MVP 2.0 from Ebay. I gave the starter kit plain Ego batteries away and now just on the MVP 2.0 for now. Whatever you get him, get variable voltage and some 1.8-2.2 ohm coils. And teaching him how coils/ohm work could help him out a lot. I got a few tanks but I'm just using EVODs now. The fancy dual coil long wick things are painful for me as a n00b. Gurgling, leaking, burning, and I didn't know what to do. EVODs just work. Good luck with helping him make the switch. The best part of the Madvapes starter kit was the Icicle Apple juice. I ended ordering 4 more of them to last me till my FastTech juice comes in. One guy I got started wanted tobacco flavor so I got him Sweet Virginia from Madvapes. He loves it.

From the way I was when I started, on cigalikes and then a fixed voltage cheapy ego setup. I would definitely get him a vv vw setup. An ego c twist would prolly be a good inexpensive way to get him started. I hear ya on not wanting to overwhelm him or break the bank not knowing if he'll like it and go full out into vaping.

I'd certainly go with something adjustable, even if it's just a high mAh Spinner. And if you could get him a sampler of flavors (or small samples from your supply) that would be the best. A couple of toppers, say some T3S types, with spare coils...

Great that you're trying to get him started on the path, but you don't want to go too far overboard to start, just in case...
