SVD Batteries

Just purchased an SVD and wondering what types of batteries I need to get? Button of flat? Protected or unprotected? If anyone can point me to some docs or provide an answer I would be thrilled. Thanks!

It doesn't matter if their flat or button top, Mr. Gaunt.

I'm using EFEST IMR 18350's with flat tops. They work well to keep the device short if I want it, and I can stack as well.

My suggestion is to get some AW IMR's. They are regarded as some of the best (if not the best) batteries that you can get and they will work in any mod you put them in. If down the road you decide to get a mod such as the provari which only takes button top batteries you will be covered. While I do like the Panasonic batteries and I do own a few, they don't work in all my mods. Everyone with a big battery mod should have at least a couple of AW's in their collection.
