VV-VW devices will "consume" a battery at a rate typically 10-20% higher than the equivalent unregulated 3.7V mech. Your vaping profile is the rest of the equation. You don't say what brand battery... some don't hold their rated value for long.

Last thing. When someone says "the device set to 3.4V/7.5W"... it leads me to believe you might not understand that you don't set "both" VV and VW. Here's an article that explains just how common that misconception is.

I stand corrected, I should have worded it better, I apologize. I do understand that they are either/or, not both at once. Those are the settings I used with success for taste/vape in the past before the battery life went down. I have an AW 18650, and an ultrafire 18650. The ultrafires are a few months old and the AW is a little under a year. I have two efests 650s coming in and will compare to those.

Honestly I was just curious is anyone else out there has noticed a difference in battery life on an svd over multiple batteries (trying to rule out the svd).

What brand battery and on what are you charging them? Also, how old are these batteries?

Quality batteries will last longer.
Most important is the charger. A quality charger will make your batteries work better and last longer.

They are being charged on an i4 charger.

@state o' flux: Great article!! Definitely some good stuff in there!!

OK, you have a great charger, so no issue there.

The AW is almost a year old, so it is probably just used up. They only have so many charge/discharge cycles in them. Time to replace those.
The Efest batteries are considered a big step down from the AWs, they wont perform or last as long as the AWs, so maybe time to retire those as well.
ANY battery with the name fire as part of the brand name is generally considered crap. I wouldn't use them at all.

The Efests you ordered will probably work well for a while, then degrade pretty quickly.

I am not very familiar with SVD, but I would bet if you looked on their site for use instructions they will recommend only using AW. Most VV/VW manufactures suggest only using AW batteries.
You should follow their recommendation :)

SOMEthings wrong. I get like a 12 hour day out of a good 18650 on my SVD.
Vaping typically 2 ohms at 3.8v.
Both with Panasonic NCR18650PD and CGR18650CH
I do blow through an 18490 in just a few hours though.

Thank you!! Thats exactly what I'm looking for!!

@Bernie Will def look at AW's again when it's time to get my next round of batteries. I ordered efests bc it's the only brand I havent tried besides pannies that was listed on the sticky as good batteries. Plus my AW now didnt quite make it to a year thats why I wanted to try something different

I've got 4 of the Panny CRG18650CH, I've been using them in rotation on my Tesla for about about 6 months, and I recently got a VTR, which I think uses almost the same electronics as the SVD. I still get almost a full day from one battery, and I vape like a fiend at work. I've never used AW batteries, because these 4 have been so great I haven't needed to try anything else.

(edit) Using 2.5 ohm coils at 6.5w, so pushing at about 4 volts.
