The SVD is a telescoping mod, so the size of the mod will be determined by the battery or batteries you choose to use. You can start off with an 18650 and scale down to a single 18350 when you want a more pocket friendly mod.

SVD .vs. SID - Similarities:

- VW/VV;
- scale to 6 volts or 15 watts;
- accept standard 510 atomizers;
- removable ring for eGo cone threading;
- accept flat-top and button-top batteries;
- short circuit and reverse battery protection;
- resistance / load detection;

SVD .vs. SID - Differences:

- The SVD is Stainless Steel; the SID is aluminum;
- The SVD uses a 3-button menu system; the SID uses a one button menu system;
- SVD is ~4.5 ounces without a battery; the SID is ~2.5 ounces without a battery;

Those are the basics. I own the SVD and I love it. With the SID, you're stuck with one size; with the SVD, your battery dictates the size so you can switch them out quickly with a few twists.

You can grab some 800 mah 18350 batteries, telescope up and shrink it down by an inch or two which would bring it to just a bit taller than an iTaste VV/VW, which is about the same size as a twist. I only use 18650's, but it stays in my pocket all day long unless I'm in the car, then it's in the drink holder :).

Just recently purchased an SVD. I like the build quality, the stainless feels like it's not going to be at all fragile. And I personally prefer the multi-button arrangement. While large, I don't find it unwieldy or awkward in any way.

Just be aware that the manual is wrong on how to install the battery. It says neg end in, but you need to put the positive end of the battery into the tube, towards the connection. (But it has reverse polarity protection, so you won't hurt it. Just won't work!)

I own a SID and it's untrue that you are stuck with one size. I ordered an 18350 battery tube yesterday for like $8. The control heads can be replaced, the menu screen is clear and easy to use, and I love it! People don't give it nearly as much credit as it deserves.

Living, loving, and laughing all the time!

Agreed, the SID can take three different sized batteries depending on the tube you use. Mine is 18350. I enjoy it!
