Sweetness "Hanging Back" In My Atty

With all the recent sweetener-related posts, I thought I'd throw my little issue into the ring.

When using sucralose (EZ Sweets cut with 40% PG) and direct dripping, it seems like much of the sweetness doesn't come through until the LR atty is almost completely dry. Then "WHAM", I get a vape of concentrated sweetener shot right at my soft palate.

I'm using 1-2 drops per 6mls in a few of my mixes, and it happens with all of them. I haven't tried it yet in a carto because I don't want to ruin it if the sucralose isn't vaping correctly. Have any of you experienced this? Should I just cut the sucralose even more? This doesn't happen with EM (TPA Cotton Candy), but I'd like to take advantage of the extra sweetness that sucralose provides.

Yeah this happened to me using an IKV 306. I don't like adding sucralose so I haven't much since then. I wouldn't say it was as intense as you make it sound, definitely hung around though. I'd like to give the NOW Foods stevia glycerite a try.

I'm thinking the same thing. Or just doubling up on the EM.

It's too bad though, I find the sucralose tastes much fuller than EM. I guess those big honkin' molecules just have a hard time getting off the ground.

Yep, probably takes higher temp to really vaporize those "big honkin' molecules." Higher temp like a dry atty.

I always had that problem using sucralose. I switched to liquid stevia and haven't any problems since

I'm sold - I'm moving the EZ Sweets to the kitchen and I'll be trying Stevia the first chance I get.

Hopefully I can salvage the 3 atties I currently have in rotation. They're all pretty well fouled at this point. Luckily I've only tainted about 20mls worth of juices with this stuff.

I'm glad I read this, I was thinking about trying the EZ Sweets. I rarely add sweetener besides EM but I have some stevia and it leaves that artificial sweetener aftertaste for me. Guess I'll stick with the EM
