switch from Njoy a newbs question

I got started on the Npro a few years back when it was online only. I didn't see much of a point in something that I basically had to order online or go back to the real thing so it sat around.

now I've noticed that E-cigs are in gas stations and there seems to be a genuine fallowing more than the fad i thought it was going to be. I've recently bought both an njoy express and a number of Njoy Kings but they are really starting to break the bank. in the time in between I went back to smoking rollies and its been taking its toll on the pipes so I'm thinking about quitting again. I just need to find the most cost effective way. since the E-cig community has grown quite a bit I figured I'd ask around.

What cartomizers out there can I buy that are compatible with Njoy express batteries? can they be serviced (do they come empty and can i fill them myself)

What is the best [or your] juice formula for good throat hit v nicotine & flavor? is there any good brews out there that are similar that I can buy in quantity on the cheap?

thanks for the help!

Ryo

You might want to go for a 510 set up because they are easier to get various things for, but you can also try this YouTube video
How to refill cartridges on the 401 style E-Cigarette - YouTube
Do a search on google foe njoy express cartridge refill for more info
mtbakervapor.com sells juice for a reasonable price. Made at their location, so not imported and most of them give a good throat hit with lots of vapor. Also try zuse e liquid. Don't remember the address for them off hand.

Welcome! You would be looking for RN4081 cartridges. I'm pretty sure madvape has them. I think they also have adaptors that make the RN4081 battery connect to 510 carts,. of which there are many. They come empty. Buy several , and a bunch of eliquids to sample. To get people started I like the RY4 and 555 style eliquids, they're tobaccoish with caramel/nut/vanilla type flavors added. I prefer 60vg/40pg blends for good flavor and better vapor. You should treat yourself and buy many different eliquids to find what you like. you deserve it!

on that note, youtube is invaluable for breaking things down (I managed to find a video of how to break down my cerca 95' sony boom box to replace the blown out speakers...) Though if that model is compatible with Njoy nativly I still have my atomizers that came with the Npro (though it would probibly be a good idea to soak them in alchoal ^^; to get the dust n' such) interesting, and I'll look into that I've just got 3 express kits/charger/batteris I'm trying to get the most use out of. I imagine all together its about 2yrs+ so the $30-50 investment won't be for naught.

please link to the formulas because you might as well be refering me to a used car or an algebraic formula. Though for the referral its a good thing I'm sure I'm going to botch it when trying to search it. I feel like I'm buying anthrax off the internet when I look into this because they are refereed to by their manufacturing short names =/ even android has taken to naming things after food =P Ecigs are supposed to be safer than cigs (though not proven) can't they come up with something that's a little less intimidating than a machine designation? lol

will google search in the morning if you haven't gotten back to me, thanks for the info!

Here's a quick breakdown, or as quick as I can be since I like to carry on:

PG = propylene glycol
VG = vegetable glycerin

These are the main components (other than nicotine and flavoring) that create the vapor in your juice.

A higher percentage of PG will translate flavor better, provide more throat hit but less overall vapor production.
A higher percentage of VG is like the opposite. Not as much throat hit or flavor but more clouds of vapor! It's also a bit more viscous (thicker if you will) than PG, which may have an effect on how long the heating coil in your device will last without clogging up.

A common blend is 70/30 PG/VG respectively. You can try different blends but that's a good start. Mt. Baker does a 80/20. Not a huge difference.

RY4 is a tobacco flavored blend of juice with other added flavors. I believe is named after it's creator. I dunno how 555 got it's name. It's another tobacco blend with added flavorings. Other flavors have a much more descriptive name, such as Strawberry or Bananas Foster.

And please, if you do try RY4 or 555 juice, I'd love to know how they compare to the taste of Njoy's tobacco flavor (which I love, but won't be going back to due to the ripoff prices).
I'm thinking of getting a small bottle of both next time I buy juice, but in the meantime, I'd like to hear another Njoy user's opinion on the matter!

Peace!

also RN4081 and 510 are the style of threads that the device uses to screw the cartridge to the battery, so you know what to shop for if your getting cartridges from another vendor other than NJoy.

The NJoy Kings are totally disposable. There is no fitting anything to them.

cool, thanks for that info. I've wondered if they where designating the coil setup before [I'm] kind stupid in that regard, heh.

I came a crossed most of the info on this while lurking the board and net in general, but thanks for putting the important stuff in one place. I think it would be funny if the 555 was named after a logic chip hehe (me=nerd)
